After the Executive excesses, think, “dictatorship,” of the Recent Unpleasantness of 1861-1865, the U.S. Congress re-asserted itself to its Constitutional status. It did so, because it could.
Sadly, the Progressives of both parties started shredding the Constitution around 1900. The Liberals got serious about it from FDR’s New Deal until the insanity of today’s Commies with their Build Back scam to create a socialist America.
But, in 2022, when the Republicans win control of both houses of Congress, they could return the Nation to follow the Constitution.
Congress could do it again.
At the least, a Republican Congress could stop our headlong plunge to a socialist hellhole. That may all they do, because there’s a reason a large group of baboons is called a “congress.”
Congress could do a lot more. Congress could:
Renounce Its Privileges. Make Congress a calling, not a career. End their fat cat retirement and give them a 401k. Stop their concierge healthcare and give them the health insurance choices a bureaucrat in DC would get. Trim the perks and bennies. Make the lifetime restrictions on lobby tight enough to keep a mouse, or a lawyer, from getting on the gravy train.
Return to Regular Order. Make Congress stop passing legislation by continuing resolution. Work bills through committees and follow the processes to get maximum transparency in legislative content.
Enforce GOP Party Discipline. Hold members who vote in socialism with the Left accountable. Strip them of their assignments. Fund opponents to primary them.
Un-fund the Left. Zero out the payments to Planned Parenthood, the “non-profit” agencies for illegal aliens, Public Broadcasting, and, despite how the Democrats will demagogue – get the Federal Government out of the school loan business. Eliminate the salaries for the racial identity jobs. Follow the money in all of its many rivulets and stop the flow to the Left.
Return Power to the States. Grandfather current consignees and reform Medicaid, Medicare, Welfare, and Social Security to be run by the states. Establish portability for Americans who move, but return the real responsibility and taxation to the states. Only do the 17 tasks established in the Constitution. If its necessary to amend the Constitution to expand “the Common Defense” to include intelligence agencies, then make it happen.
Provide Executive Oversight. Get ground truth on what the Deep State is doing in the Executive Branch. Challenge regulations more and increase Congressional power by expanding the 1947 Administrative Procedures Act. Legislate greater accountability for persons protected by an Administration and provide remedies, perhaps with a high bar of a super-majority.
Investigate the Chinese Connections. Provide the resources for a comprehensive and conclusive examination of Chinese influence – likewise include Drug Cartels and rogue foreign governments – across all aspects of GOTUS and America. Go where the conclusions lead you for remedy.
Trust Bust the Social Media Moguls. Just as Ma Bell was broken up, don’t hesitate to break Facebook, Twitter, and other social media into highly competitive pieces. Regulate them to the smallest extent needed to protect free speech. Likewise, look carefully at Amazon and other big corporations that are in bed with government to crowd out the competition.
Impeach Judges. Teach Congresspersons that a “High Crime” is any offense committed by a person is a high position. So, the next time a Federal Judge makes up the law from the bench, or clearly rules contrary to the Constitution, impeach the judge. Keep doing it until the judges stop legislating with their opinions.
A courageous Congress could do all above with a majority of one in each house.

Everything you say is an absolute necessity. The one thing that always gets in the way is complacency. Complacency in just enough voters who want to do all this, but too lazy to actually engage in the needed fight. Then, there are those on the left who continually lie about everything, then go and lie again, by naming a bill the opposite of its true intent.
In order to accomplish all those goals is a Herculean task, but starting with exposure, which is what Trump did with the media and the swamp, is something that, while taking time, forces people out of their Lazy Boy and into the arena of changers, by casting their votes, becoming outspoken at school board meetings and city council meetings. Then getting involved in local, state and national election honesty reforms, like True the Vote.
Trump got more black voters by simply asking for them, when he asked them “What’s it going to hurt?” If you don’t ask, you never know. Same applies to people in their Lazy Boys, eating two bags of Doritos watching King James dribble.
