Obama Knew: Obama the Teflon Don

I’ve been following Dan Bongino ever since he emerged to consciousness via interviews on WMAL with Texan Bryan “gravy not dressing” Wilson and Larry O’Connor-slimmed down, with improved hairline-back east as Dan made his run for congress. I caught WMAL on my commute at oh dark thirty every morning and again in the evening-where I learned an awful lot from Mark Levin, whom I would often listen to in the driveway at home, being in the middle of something that must be heard. Listening to Levin was instructive as he walked his audience on the journey from being a Cruz supporter-who I respected a great deal but did not feel he was likeable/electable-and a never Trumper, to a middle ground where he advocated giving the man a chance. To the present-where he has no qualms or lack of ammunition defending Trump’s record against all comers: he served as somewhat of the model for debunking and debating the unhinged left, democrats and the LSMBTG* (but I repeat myself) for a decade now. If I were mobile during the day-and I often was-I would catch the hilarious and pointed Chris Plante-there is only one (how many do you need?)-who has a unique style all his own.

Dan fought the good fight in deep blue-and corrupt-Maryland, in a place the swamp waters of DC have flooded over, extending the stain of DC rampant crime and the local government official approach of largely excusing and ignoring black related crime, underperformance in schools and out of wedlock births for decades-that perpetuates the cycle of crime: best typified in DC by the former “chocolate city” Mayor Barry, of “that biatche set me up” fame. In truth he did good things for black youth with his summer camp initiatives, but that was the drop of a pebble in the ocean…

The drive up the east coast past Baltimore in the late 1990s was still somewhat of a scenic pleasure with the waterfront and neighborhoods and open views-it would not be unusual to start out on a long trip and stop mere hours into the trip at a favorite spot to get some fabulous sea food: no more. Worse on the senses is taking a train up the east coast through New York City, where you can see what America looked like during the great depression throughout much of the journey: neighborhoods that time has forgotten and abandoned-starting right there in Maryland-Baltimore, many of them the remnants of the LBJ “projects” or ghettoes of the 60s, like places time has forgotten that demonstrate why government should stay out of such matters: a story for another time.

I commuted into the Washington Navy Yard for several years and watched the baseball stadium go from a cleared dust bowl to a ballpark in just about a years’ time-we could watch the ballgame from our 6th floor training office. While making the trek to Bolling Air Force Base (Defense Intelligence Agency, but later the initial home of the Office of the Director of Intelligence) one time I counted 18 cement trucks getting ready to do their duty. It was astounding to watch the transformation-and it’s amazing what a place like DC can do when they put their mind to it.

But helping out the predominantly black population-apparently not so much. During construction of the stadium there was a murder committed early one Friday morning in front of a school that sat right there by South Capital and M Street down from the open-air fish market and Phillips Seafood, across the street from the National Defense University complex that sits several blocks south of that location. When I drove in to work the following Monday-the school was now The Metropolitan Police Department First District Station-a police station-which made sense with the stadium near completion and the large increase in crowds expected-like a magnet for certain DC elements. It’s amazing what a city like DC can do when…..

Bongino would later go on to help republican Larry Hogan in his successful run for governor by sharing contacts, donors, people to know-a move he likely has since regretted, given how much of a RINO Hogan turned out to be-perhaps a consequence of overseeing Blue-Blue-Maryland-but it was a typical classy move by somebody who leads by action-not by the lip.

Dan has been a leading conservative voice on many controversial and important topics over the years as his podcast expanded from modest beginnings to audience numbers he likely never contemplated. He was way ahead of the curve on the Pee Pee Hoax-years ahead of most people-and a righteous voice on the facts, well documented in his great books, including Spygate and Exonerated. He has been ahead of the pack on just about every story he covers-but particularly the Russian Hoax. When Durham filed his recent court brief about former Perkins Coie attorney Sussman, I had to laugh as I could almost hear Bongino cackling and yelling in the background about the Latham & Watkins law firm representing him, as one of the former partners is one of Dan’s favorites-Obama’s “fixerKathryn Ruemmler.

He put his money where his mouth was early-on in extolling the necessity and the virtues of an alternative-conservative-marketplace to those hell bent on censoring opinions and voices they don’t like-investing in and endorsing Parler, Rumble, financial mechanisms and others, while calling out those who need to be shunned. He also helped out by drawing attention to the plight of businesses adversely impacted by mind-numbingly dumb and dogmatic COVID policy, including publicity and charity efforts to folks who were struggling in states like New Jersey, visiting Atilis Gym, and Apex Tattoo Factory, North Carolina.

Since Bongino started his broadcast career, I’ve been in 99.999% agreement with him on nearly every topic he has touched-and there have been a lot! But I wouldn’t be writing about something I agree with him about-that would be a feckless ecoutez et repetez redundant waste.

I’ve heard Dan describe what happened to DJT as something that was not organized-no central orchestration-somewhat of a happen-stance of likeminded individuals taking the initiative, doing their part to keep jobs and support candidates of their fancy-propagating dirty deeds and bad press-aided by the LSMBTG*-who sounded on those they didn’t, in an effort to maintain momentum on the emerging global power base, eventually focusing their efforts on stopping Trump.

I believe the evidence argues against Dan’s theory that in the final analysis there was no central coordination or choreography being run against Trump. There are too many events that just plain could not have happened without the witting collaboration of a number of key players-and on an effort of this importance and magnitude-at this high a level-we are talking about ultimate serpent politics where they knew how to prevent fingerprints and paper trails. Too many things happened that defy any logical argument that dismisses them as coincidental.

Let’s face it, the folks we are electing to office-and those they are nominating-are not the sharpest knives in the drawer. We’ve pretty much allowed the process the Founders envisioned-one where leaders develop in the community, increasingly get involved locally in the running and operation of “stuff” that concerns them, their families and friends, eventually necking out to represent the community-moving up to the national level, -to degrade to the point where only the wealthy and connected-with rare exceptions-venture into that briar patch: and why would they? Average Americans-whatever that means these days-are highly unlikely to step up and put themselves out there into the white-hot spotlight when these days it means exposing yourself as a target to all manner of crazies and the biased LSMBTG-particularly if your views are not on the far-left side of the ledger: there is no middle ground to occupy in politics anymore.

What does it mean-or matter-to be considered “mainstream” anymore when part of the country is in agreement with a nominee to the United States of America Supreme Court who is not comfortable providing the definition of a women in testimony to congress because she is “not a biologist?:” but she is a black woman-or she wouldn’t be under consideration-and that’s another problem. But that leftist, self-induced paralysis by lunacy, democrat puzzlement is just the latest of recent examples of how we are lowering the bar for many of our government institutions for no good reason. What kind of role models are we talking about here? So we could have a black female on the highest court of the land who would need to consult a biologist to complete a legal brief that needed a definition or amplification of an issue involving a woman?

Of course-that argues against my theory that there was coordination among the government-that is incompetent-and the LSMBTG in these efforts-but my point is more that the 21st century has been somewhat of a disaster from the standpoint of what our government has done for and to us.

The standard for finding president’s liable of malfeasance or guilty of lying to the American public is unnecessarily high when congress is controlled by the same party-as we experienced during the Clinton era. Despite all the evidence, testimony and firsthand interviews accrued by the special counsel, it took a blue dress to confirm Clinton’s guilt-and in the final analysis it did not matter. While under Trump we discovered what a low bar it can become, where Trump was impeached twice under charges that many judged were not adequate to meet the standard of high crimes and misdemeanors, where the democrats actually distorted the facts to fit the narrative they wished to be true.

In his first impeachment there was an incestuous and unholy alliance of his own NSC staff and house democrats that never should have gone forward, but Orange Man Bad. The second impeachment was even worse, with the FBI determining there was no central plot coordinated to stop the elections process, and we still lack explanations for many of the events that democrats just blithely wished into the record without waiting for the facts to be determined. All the while advancing a narrative that has fallen apart like wet tissue paper, with one of the most blatant lies the death of DC Capital Police Officer Sicknick-whose autopsy had revealed the democrat and LSMBTG sensational lies about his death from being beaten by a fire extinguisher-but it would not be released to the public for months. And the democrats are still repeating the original lie that he was killed by protestors during the “made for television” opening speeches to excite the base in whatever they think they are doing with their 6 Jan idjiotcy that has nothing to do with legislation and has the house-as usual-distracted on political agendas instead of doing the people’s business. And how long has the house been distracted by politics now???

And I for one want to know about Ray Epps and the breach teams that arrived at the capital doing mayhem long before any of Trump’s speech attendees-and then there are the pipe bombs-the cell phone-the lack of security reinforcement prior to the main event-Capital Police lobbing flash bangs, pepper spraying, shooting rubber bullets at point blank range, and beating with batons the front row of a massive but peaceful crowd-that-surprisingly-reacted-but that is not this article.

But when I cover the Ukraine demonstrations later in this series, think back to these questions and issues.

When looking to when it became the norm for the DC swamp politicians and the LSMBTG to lie to we the people and tell us what they wanted us to know, it is obvious that it was normalized under the Obama administration, led by the man himself.

Obama routinely took several iterations of trial and error to get his messaging “right,” often beginning with a raw response that was ill-informed, easily debunked, reactionary and usually not helpful. You would expect that from a new administration and a president who is less measured-who fires from the lip-someone who never had a thought that did not get expressed (like Newt Gingrich-or later President Trump-the difference being those two were very experienced and seasoned public figures, usually speaking their mind and stating a position and letting the chips fall where they may)-but that was not Obama. His lack of experience showed in almost every instance-it is the reason we don’t normally select inexperienced politicians for president-at least Jimmy Carter was a peanut farmer, a governor and had been in the US Navy: and boy, is Carter glad to see Biden in office….

Obama not only lied to the American people myriad times to the point where it became the routine, his WH staff often later bragged about the lies and propaganda fed to the LSMBTG to reinforce the false narrative that supposedly justified his actions. The character of a president is on display when his administration takes action that must be explained and justified to the American people: in most instances, Obama was found wanting (my second example Part 2.)

  1. Max, This is the first one of your pieces I’ve read and I’m kicking myself for not having found you sooner. Excellent piece, well and colorfully written.

Early in the piece you write: “I believe the evidence argues against Dan’s theory that in the final analysis there was no central coordination or choreography being run against Trump.”

I’m in total agreement with you. A conspiracy doesn’t require a meeting of the parties, merely a meeting of the MINDS of those parties. But I rather suspect that it was and continues to be more than a mere meeting of their minds; I believe that the parties that conceived this, nurtured it along and continue to maintain it on life support are working in concert toward not merely destroying ‘DJT’ as you reference him, but ALL of the Conservative Movement. They was the most visible and viable Republicans to all be like Mike Pence: “It’s OK if you are conservative so long as you don’t act like it or act UPON it.” I have nothing against Pence but he’s a bit like so many of the cars in Jay Leno’s collection: Interesting, fun to learn about and listen to but not particularly useful in getting you where you want to go.

My trajectory regarding Trump matches Levine’s identically, due, in part, to having been a Levine devotee since I first discovered him two decades ago thanks to Sean Hannity’s radio show on which Levine would make an occasional appearance.

Please keep this up. Great stuff and fun and easy to read.

    • Hi Bob-thanks for reading and appreciate the comments. You know your comment about old cars is spot on-my sons 1967 Galaxy and my 1963 Avanti have more rattles and shakes than my tractor-although the Avanti with the one piece, ~2200-pound block of fiberglass is pretty solid. My wife’s grandfathers 1969 Galaxy 500 was a Freddy Flintstone special-you could watch the road go by under the floorboards.
Have you written any articles? You should. MC
