Flying the OODA Loop into the Next Election – Part 2 (Observe)

This is the second part of a 5-part series exploring the tactical planning that the Republican party should be doing going into the next two elections. Part 1 can be found here.

The first step in the OODA loop is to observe. Leading up to and entering into the battle (which the next election will certainly be), we need to collect all available information. Before we begin the attack on our opponent, we need to have a complete understanding of conditions on the field of play.

How can I put this delicately? The public is pissed. The left started a covert revolution during the 60s when they began infiltrating our institutions. But they were a bit too bold after the 2020 election. When they started sexually grooming children, and declared the American flag a racist trigger, the population woke up (no pun intended). The counter revolution has begun. Americans spoke loud and clear during the off-year election, and the Dems responded by giving them the finger (doubling down on massive spending). The “right-track/wrong-track” polls show that the Dems have been barreling down the wrong track for the past year – and don’t care. The “Let’s go Brandon” chants (or its cruder cousin) are growing. Biden was even met with Trump flags in Seattle of all places last week. The silent majority is turning into an angry movement.

A majority of Americans now believe the 2020 election was stolen. The latest Rasmussen Reports poll on the subject has 56% of Americans believing fraud affected the election. That number has grown 5% since last April. It is not going down. Biden may have been inaugurated, but the public no longer believes he is our legitimate leader. Governing without legitimacy – at least in a republic – is virtually impossible.

America has lost respect on the world stage. Russia has invaded Ukraine. China is threatening Taiwan with impunity. France has recalled its ambassador, and the British Parliament has held Biden in contempt. America has also been experiencing repeated cyber-attacks on our infrastructure. The attackers are not a bunch of Geek Squad wannabes working out of their mother’s basement. They are well funded attacks by China and Russia. Our opponents sense weakness and are testing us.

The border is in crisis, with illegals flooding in at a rate which has overwhelmed border patrol. Holding facilities are overcrowded by orders of magnitude. It has gotten so bad that the administration is now transporting illegals around the country in buses and airplanes, and dropping them off in the dead of night on unsuspecting communities. Ron DeSantis estimates that 70 plane loads have been secretly delivered to Florida alone. None have been vetted. Greg Abbot is now bussing illegals from Texas to Washington, just to make a point. Biden’s response is to announce that he is sunsetting Title 42, making the problem even worse.

The economy is collapsing. Inflation is at its highest level in 4 decades and is robbing families of their income and savings. The press is starting to talk about the misery index again for the first time since the Carter Administration. Deficit government spending and work disincentives will only make the inflation worse. The supply chain is breaking before our very eyes. The same work disincentives that are feeding inflation are robbing the workforce of people with the skills to get products from point A to point B. Cargo ships languish off of the coast waiting to be unloaded while store shelves sit empty only a few miles away. In the midst of the crisis, the Transportation Secretary took two months off for paternity leave. The President suggests that we all get used to it.

Crime is on the rise. The combined effects of threatening to defund police, and prosecuting them for any negative outcomes, along with sentencing and bail reform has changed the criminal justice climate. Police departments are chronically understaffed, with little hope of recruiting new cadets to fill the void. On-duty officers are less proactive in their daily activities. It has become far too dangerous to engage in high-risk activities. Better to let the violence end and the dust settle than run the risk of being prosecuted for accidentally hurting someone. Criminals know that the risk/reward calculus has changed and are responding accordingly.

COVID has undermined the credibility, not just of doctors, but the entire scientific community. We’ve had two years of: masks don’t work, but wear two masks, unless you get the vaccine, but then you should still wear a mask, and be sure to get the booster – even though it may kill you and doesn’t always work. Now we know the truth. Dr. Fauci is not a real doctor – he just plays one on TV. Which has Americans wondering: if the medical experts are full of crap, are any of the other government experts any better?

A federal judge has clipped the CDC’s testicles, ruling they didn’t not have the authority to issue mask mandates. She was not amused that an organization which was chartered to wipeout malaria by spaying mosquitos decided to expand that charter to include wiping out viruses with masks. But Biden has decided to challenge her decision, is currently looking for a sympathetic judge, and should be in a position to reissue the mandates just before the election. If Americans are in a foul mood now, that should really get them torqued in time for the election.

Schools have become indoctrination centers working to subvert our children. Revised history – such as the 1619 project – has robbed them of pride in America. CRT has taught them that they are either racists or victims. Schools are encouraging children as young as 5 to pick their gender, and are seeking to facilitate medical procedures to lock in that choice. But how dare we accuse them of grooming our kids? All of this indoctrination was meant to prepare them for subjugation in a socialist world. But COVID and remote learning exposed it. The left is finding that jeopardizing the cubs was not a good idea with mamma bear watching. School board protests have morphed into a counter revolution.

The FBI has outed itself as some kind of secret police wannabe. Unequal justice under the law has been an observable fact for some time. But the Whitmer kidnapping trial exposed the FBI’s new method of operation – recruit some idiots, plan a crime for them, and then arrest them. But the jury decision in that case proves that the American public no longer believes the testimony of FBI agents. The outcome of the that trial is shining a spotlight on the January 6 investigations, which incidentally are being led by the same FBI agent who was in charge for the Whitmer kidnapping hoax.

America has become a sea of discontent, just waiting for the right political leadership. A leadership who will listen to them and respond to their concerns – something that is foreign to the Dems.
