Biden: A Whole of Government Disgrace

This week several polls indicated that only 39% of the population approved of President Biden’s performance. He pushed through the $1.5 TRILLION leftist pork spending bill that has helped fuel record inflation. Biden proudly proclaims that on his first day in office he signed a bunch of executive orders that crippled the oil and gas industry ending our energy independence (and simultaneously creating a historic border crisis. (Until this week, the increase in gas prices between when he took office and Russia invading the Ukraine was greater than the increase in prices since the invasion, providing evidence of his lie that all this is Putin’s fault.) Biden has continued to spout the lie that the greedy oil companies refuse to drill on their leased lands, when in fact Biden’s administration has refused to grant drilling permits on those leased lands. In the meantime, gasoline is at a record high.

Biden has spouted lies about laws and policies in red states (e.g., Jim Crow 2.0 in Georgia and Don’t Say Gay in Florida) that are so egregious that even Washington Pravda gave them four Pinnochios. Biden created and continues to exacerbate the wide-open border crisis and is going to make it worse next week by letting Title 42 expire. He proudly proclaimed the creation of the Ministry to Truth that even Democrats realize is a bad idea. He has loudly supported packing the Supreme Court and eliminating the filibuster. The disgrace that is the Biden crime family is so egregious that only “journalists” and those disgusting miscreants on The View can pretend it doesn’t exist. The courts had to overturn his unconstitutional mask and vaccine mandates.

Biden’s cabinet is full of identity politics appointees instead of competent administrators. Their only qualifications, it seems, are their ability to check protected demographic boxes and lie with a straight face. But to hear Biden and his propaganda ministers, all these Biden-created crises are someone else’s fault. Most are obviously Biden’s fault if anyone in the media took the time to really investigate, yet Biden, his administration, Democrats, leftists, and the media keep blaming the “MAGA King” (who has been out of office for a year and a half) and vilifying at least 50% of the population.

It is hardly surprising that only 39% supports him. What IS surprising is that his support is as high as 39%. You must be some kind of ostrich-like idealogue to ignore the epic failures of Premier Biden and his cabal. Anyone with an IQ greater than his hat size should be able to see easily that Biden’s America last Marxism and divisive policies are hurting all Americans. When even a hardened Leftist, like Jeff Bezos, whose Washington Post helped get Biden elected by censoring the laptop story, turns on Biden, there should be no doubt. (Even Democrats believe that November will be a record-setting red wave in the mid-term elections.) I must believe that at least half of that 39% are people who voted for Biden and refuse to admit that they meekly and weakly succumbed to media brainwashing and Left-wing Trump Derangement Syndrome and made the wrong choice at the polls. Is there anyone in America who could honestly say they are better off today than a year and a half ago?

The most prosperous and affluent country in the world cannot even feed our own children. It feels like we are living in Ethiopia during the famines of the 1980s. A recent meme would have been funny if it wasn’t so tragic. It featured Nancy Pelosi angrily exclaiming, “If we can’t kill them in the womb, we’ll starve them to death.” The administration has contradicted itself by saying they couldn’t be expected to have anticipated this problem when they shut down the company that makes 40% of the nation’s baby formula and sells that formula in 31 states while also claiming that they have been working the baby formula issue for months.

Operation Warp Speed, which Biden decried during his campaign, was a whole of government response to the Chinese- and big-pharma crisis. He would never take the “Trump vaccine,” then he turned around and tried to mandate that everyone take the vaccine. “My body, my choice” only applies to murder, not experimental concoctions. The good, non-mRNA vaccine still hasn’t been approved by the FDA, thanks to Fauci’s illegal and immoral relationship with Pfizer and other companies. (I find it humorous that people who look for non-GMO food are okay with turning their own bodies into a GMO!)

Biden’s response to the formula crisis is a whole of government disgrace. According to Project Patriot,

Parents across the nation don’t have weeks to wait for baby formula to become available again. However, this doesn’t seem to matter much to the House Energy and Commerce Committee. This week, the body announced that its hearing on the matter will take place on Wednesday, May 25.

In the meantime, babies who need formula on an hourly basis are apparently supposed to fend for themselves. This is a horrible look for Congress. Lawmakers, in the past, have taken much swifter action on other matters. [ed: We make decisions to invade other countries faster than solving this baby formula issue!]

Waiting for nearly two weeks to hold a hearing on baby formula shortages speaks volumes about how little the federal government actually prioritizes this.

In the meantime, parents are being advised to seek out generic baby formulas as substitutes. Yet, depending on the infant, generic baby formula does not always work.

First, the FDA shuttered Abbot. It appears there may have been a good reason to have done so; however, apparently it never occurred to anyone that with 40% of the supply suddenly gone, there might be shortages. There also seems to have been no effort to mitigate the Abbot problems and expedite getting them back into production. It also never occurred to anyone to temporarily relax labeling standards (the FDA won’t allow the importation of European formula unless the labels are in English). Apparently, the only crises worth extraordinary measures from the FDA are unconstitutional vaccine and masking mandates, not feeding children of citizen taxpayers. The America-last administration did think ahead far enough to horde formula at the border for people who have entered illegally. Then the administration established a Web page to supposedly help parents find formula. I don’t know how many millions of taxpayer dollars were spent on the Web page, but its rollout was a disaster. Perhaps they could have had a high school student design a Web site that was useful instead of expensive government bureaucrats.

While American people are suffering from the idiotic and anti-American policies of the Biden regime, Congressmen are living large. Last week it was disclosed that Pelosi has contracted to give everyone in Congress and their staffs FREE (meaning taxpayer paid) Peloton subscriptions. The number of people eligible was reported to be tens of thousands. So, we can add Congressmen to prisoners on the list of people whose gym memberships I pay. In addition, as if the thinking and decision making of Congressmen isn’t already muddled enough, Pelosi has opened a liquor store in the Rayburn building that delivers booze to the office of Congressmen. “Let them eat cake,” Nancy? (Ironically, it is apparently not racist to show ID to get booze delivered to your office if you work in Congress.) Ratings of CSPAN may improve if a drunken brawl broke out in Congress from time to time. Maybe we would all be better off if bloviating Congressmen were busy nursing hangovers than making up legislation no one needs just to keep themselves busy and make themselves feel important.

We can spend $40B on ill-conceived aid to the Ukraine, $20B on more unnecessary and ineffective vaccines, and stockpile formula for illegal immigrants, but the Biden administration cannot find a dollar to spend to help legal, citizen, taxpaying, parents. It is shocking that 39% of brainwashed lemmings still support President Biden and his brood of vipers.
