The Science and God, by Citizen Writer: Alan Hand

One of the definitions Webster uses to define Faith: “firm belief in something for which there is no proof” and also as “complete trust.” Much in science is absolute. But on the higher plane, much of science requires Faith that it must be that way. In the Galapagos Islands, Darwin was able to prove adaptation. Finches and tortoise’s on different islands adapted to food sources but remained finches and tortoise. Evolution, which requires a change in species…. not so much. But Scientific “Faith” requires moving from scientific method to fill in the blanks when something cannot be observed or repeated.
Likewise, when scientists measure the universe, they believe there has to be more…..much more mass than what can be measured. What can be seen is a drop in the bucket to what has to be for the universe to work. So they describe what is not seen as “Dark Matter” and “Dark Energy.” Dark Matter draws things together to create stars and planets, solar systems and galaxies. Dark Energy pulls things apart and is used to explain the ever expanding universe. With highly sophisticated arrays of equipment deep under ground to negate any forces on the surface, not one time has any of this Dark stuff been captured. But Faith, scientifically, says it has to be there. I agree, the science is right. It is there. But they are measuring on a law of physics basis. What is spiritual cannot be measured with earthly instruments. But these forces can be measured with the heart. They can be measured by the Faith of believers.
God is not Dark Matter, but rather the light of the world. This matter draws and created this universe. Jesus continues to create this universe. The forces of heaven bind us together. Heaven can never be seen or captured by earthly instruments. But the mass is so much more than what can be seen with the human eye or mind. Satan also exist, this Dark Energy took a third of the angels in heaven with him. This force seeks to pull everything apart. It wants to ever expand the distance between us and our creator. Science is right, there is much more than we can see and measure on an earthly scale. The forces of Light (Matter) and Dark (Energy) very much occupy the universe. Problem is, we will never see them in this realm. We will only be able to measure their effects on the spiritual realm when our souls leave this place.
What force will you be effected by? The forces are good and evil, light and dark. When you leave here, will the forces of Good, the Light, draw you to Heaven? Or will the forces of Evil, Dark Energy, cause you to spend eternity in the Lake of Fire. Are you driven by the force that binds and creates? Or do you follow the force that separates and destroys? Your eternity will be dictated by one or the other. And it will be to late when you leave this world to choose. Pick wisely, and decide today. Tomorrow, the decision might be made for you depending on your call today.
Sinners Prayer; With your eyes fixed on Jesus, pray this prayer aloud:
I confess with my mouth that You, Jesus, are Lord, the Ruler over all. You are the Christ, the Son of God. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead and You are alive forevermore, seated on Your throne in heaven next to the Father. The heavenly hosts worship before Your throne. I believe Your blood that was shed on the cross washes away all my sin.

  1. The evidence of God is all around us. Too often we just don’t see it, because we are in a material world. The question to ask is not whether God exists, but at the end of the day, who came up with science. Without God’s existence we would not even be at that science thing.
Man was on Earth well before science became.

Historical evidence is found that God is here, all around us, and is not some myth. Atheists always stop short of explaining their position that God doesn’t and never existed when asked very simple questions, like where did good and evil come from? Where did moral life come from?
If you know something to be true, where did you come up with the proof? Was it science, or was it the foundation of those tablets God handed to Moses?
Not necessarily proof, but those who do not believe in God can’t prove much of anything when just using the material world as their guide, because the material world can’t explain why we have a moral code that precedes any scientific method. Those who say there is no God can never prove it, but they spend an awful lot of effort trying to.

From a Cambridge theoretical mathematician, Dr. John Lennox:

“Either human intelligence ultimately owes its origin to mindless matter; or there is a Creator. It is strange that some people claim that it is their intelligence that leads them to prefer the first to the second.”

    Indeed, it is strange.

  2. “firm belief in something for which there is no proof” and also as “complete trust.” Interesting pair of definitions under the same roof, isn’t it? I wonder how Webster’s Dictionary came to that definition?
Usually, someone only firmly trusts someone or something after a lot of evidence rules out the existence of chicanery, or discovering that which is claimed is false.
Is there a consciousness? Prove it! We all know there is, but we can’t prove it, scientifically.

Firm belief and complete trust are not even equals, nor even close.

It takes a leap of faith, some say. Why does it take that, if you can’t prove consciousness? One thing is that the Bible has evidence to back it up, where consciousness is only theorized. I’d say it takes less of that leap of faith to believe in the Bible than it does to believe there is a consciousness, and consciousness is not contested, just never proven.
