Political Parody As a Weapon Part LXIV; Almost gone but not forgiven, hope we don’t see him again.
In Part LXIII, our last segment, we called on the leader of the Parrot Heads to provide the tune to memorialize the lowlights of the current head of state’s eight decades. This week, we will remain in the verdant hunting grounds of song parody as we explore the efforts over the last two years to rinse out one of the stains on the efforts to combat the surrender of the US to the forces of the left.
As many of you are aware, this website came online over 18 months ago when our editor, Mike Ford, sought to create a forum where conservative viewpoints could be aired and discussed without the specter of leftist advertiser boycotts resulting in censorship. Earlier in 2021, while contributing to Red State, some of his articles were removed and they gave offense to the left and their complaints spooked the management.
Among the pieces subjected to removal was this missive, announcing a contest to target for electoral defeat those elected under the banner of the republican party who demonstrated insufficient fidelity to conservative principles, or at the least give in too easily to the left. The winners were announced the following week in a somewhat more sanitized version. In first place was Liz Cheney, followed by Mitt Romney and Adam Kinzinger. The demise of Liz Cheney was celebrated in Part L . The removal of Willard “Mitt” Romney lies yet ahead, but this week, the bronze medal winner will be the subject of the song parody, as since that selection, he and Liz Cheney went completely to the dark side, joining the democrats in the sham committee set up to distort the narrative over the events of January 6, 2021 at the US Capitol.
Adam Kinzinger may be a skilled pilot for the Wisconsin Air National Guard, but as a republican congressman from Illinois, he has shown himself to be a treacherous stain, in the sense of the Oxford Universal Dictionary third edition definition of “a person or thing that causes disgrace”. Though he was first elected to Congress in the actual republican tsunami in 2010, Kinzinger began seeking office at the age of 20. In the nearly two and a half decades since that time, he has shown a tendency to turn on his former supporters and party members, such as when he was first re-districted in 2012, and ran against his fellow republican congressman in the primary, defeating the ten term incumbent Don Manzullo. In 2016, he announced that he would not cast a vote for Donald Trump for president, even though his running mate Mike Pence was one of those who (along with Sarah Palin) helped Kinzinger get elected to Congress in 2010.
Though Kinzinger claims he places country over party, it seems rather clear that he values Kinzinger over party, as well as everything else. Despite the fact that democrats have twice re-districted him out of his seat, he has taken to endorsing democrats and both the overt variety, as well as covert democrats as Evan McMullin, which completely undermines his assertion that he cares about the country and the constitution.
Adam Kinzinger is certainly not the first republican politician to disappoint conservatives when it became obvious that he valued himself over principles, as he seems to be following the path of Joe Scarborough in his political dysphoria.
Of course, not only politicians disappoint. As a late Baby Boomer who enjoyed the early works of Bruce Springsteen in my youth, that while he was trying to write lyrics like Bob Dylan, do songs like the Drifters and sing like Roy Orbison, it was obvious that “The Boss” didn’t like law enforcement or being told what to do, while he embraced the party of big government. Since Springsteen got married in the mid-1980s and stopped putting out good music, it became easier to ignore his new works, and leave the old stuff in the box with rest of my old vinyl. I laughed at the image that Jeep tried to project in the 2021 Super Bowl ad of a 70+ year old partisan leftist hipster multi-millionaire trying to pretend he was a common man while taking advantage of agricultural tax breaks to shield his real estate and cash assets.
In the 1978 album, “Darkness On the Edge of Town”, there was a featured cut entitled “Adam Raised a Cain”. I borrowed the tune from one democrat-supporting hypocrite that I once enjoyed to make fun of this other one, who will be looking for new work in a month or so.
In the suburbs outside of Chicago, in 2010 with Obama to blame
Up jumped a politician, and he put an “R” after his name
That year he won, then they changed district lines
His republican colleague, soon gave out with his whines
As Kinzinger said what’s ours now is mines
Adam K.’s a stain
Adam K.’s a stain
Adam K.’s a stain
Adam K.’s a stain
After he was elected He raised his hand and took his oath
He turned on those that brought him, and was primaried by The Club for Growth
Then in 2016 he proved somebody to dump
With Hillary Clinton out there on the stump
He told all the world he wasn’t voting for Trump
Adam K.’s a stain
Adam K.’s a stain
Adam K.’s a stain
Adam K.’s a stain
In the Bible, Eve tempted Adam and then from Eden, they both were cast
This time it was with Liz and now they’ll both be in the past
Well they threw in the lot with Nancy and her crew
Now they can call M S N B C looking for something to do
You put him in the pot, you make a RINO stew
Adam K.’s a stain
Adam K.’s a stain
Adam K.’s a stain
Adam K.’s a stain
Gone but not forgiven hope we don’t see him again
Adam K.’s a stain
Adam K.’s a stain
Adam K.’s a stain
Adam K.’s a stain
Adam K.’s a stain
Adam K.’s a stain
Adam K.’s a stain
Adam K.’s a stain

Jared Kushner, in his book, describes how Chris Christie and Pierre Delecto, formerly Mitt Romney, begged for jobs in the Trump administration. They did not get one so Pierre and Christie regularly trash Trump.
Also, Kushner describes how he and Reps like Mike Lee worked on the First Step crime bill with Dems like Cory Booker, Hakim Jeffries, Durbin, etc. They were all pals and texting each other, but then the Dems repaid the Reps by twice impeaching Trump, Jared’s father in law.
Reps never learn that Dems only work or “cross the aisle” when it benefits them, or cross the aisle to repay the Reps by stabbing them.
Christie prosecuted Kushner’s father when he was US Attorney during the George W Bush administration, and Kushner kept him out of the first wave of appointments. Both Pierre Delecto and Kinzinger turned on Mike Lee, who (along with Rand Paul) is among the most ideologically consistent republicans in the senate.
Kushner said in his book that Christie should be in charge of the border since he could block the border like he blocked the GW
Oh, they do learn, but they just never get the message passed down to the others who haven’t yet learned and just have to give it another try.
Adam Kinzinger is a clown.
That was in my original chorus refrain while working on the lyrics, but I changed it to make the parody sound closer to the original.
