The Profound Significance of Jesus Christ: A Timeless Journey

The historical existence of Jesus Christ stands as an irrefutable reality, rooted in recorded history much like other widely accepted figures. To cast doubt upon his existence would necessitate a similar skepticism towards figures such as Julius Caesar. Yet, the significance of Jesus extends far beyond the acknowledgment of his historical presence.

Jesus was and still is God. Claiming to be the fulfillment of the Law of Moses and boldly declaring “I am,” Jesus positioned himself as a transformative figure, embodying divine authority. His teachings and actions, characterized by unparalleled compassion and wisdom, have left an indelible mark on the fabric of human history. It’s 2024 because our calendar is based upon the year when we thought he was born, plus or minus a few years. 

The narrative of Jesus takes an agonizing turn when the worst possible fate befalls the best possible person. A paragon of virtue, he consistently chose the path of righteousness, never succumbing to sin. The magnitude of his character is further emphasized by the heartbreaking betrayal at the hands of one of his closest confidants, Judas.

Crucially, Jesus faced not only betrayal but also the gravest injustice—execution at the hands of both the government and his own people. This unparalleled sacrifice underlines the profound nature of his mission, a mission that goes beyond the confines of any earthly kingdom.

In his unwavering commitment to righteousness, Jesus exemplified deeds that humanity, bound by fear and uncertainty, often shied away from. Through his actions, he unveiled a path that, though daunting, was necessary for our individual salvation.

The unjust suffering of Jesus serves as a beacon of hope and redemption, symbolizing the profound sacrifice made for the salvation of humankind. By following his teachings and embodying his wisdom, individuals are offered the promise of salvation—a testament to the enduring impact of Jesus Christ on the spiritual and moral landscape of humanity. His life, marked by humility, selflessness and divine purpose, remains a timeless journey that continues to inspire and guide countless individuals across the globe. He was killed but rose again after three days so we can too.
