Judge Merchan Creates a Democrat Public Relations Nightmare

It’s another day in which Trump faces lawfare, so naturally there’s more bad polling for President “Gremlin” to scream at his staff about. According to Gallop, Joe’s 13th quarter job approval is at an abysmal 38.7 percent. That’s the worst approval going into a campaign season, of any President seeking reelection since Dwight Eisenhower.

With each passing day, and each new indictment, the Trump campaign juggernaut seems to gain speed. Something had to be done before it reached escape velocity, so Judge Juan Merchan (D-Banana Republic) stepped up to apply the reverse thrusters. He used his duty to ensure that the Donald gets a fair trial in Manhattan, to instead give him a campaign timeout. His inspired idea was to order the reality TV star to remain in the media capital of the world for the duration of his kangaroo trial. Perhaps Merchan’s decision wasn’t completely thought out.

In compliance with the judge’s order, the Donald went to work as he always does – thinking big … I mean yuuge! The Donald didn’t waste his time trying to win his jury over. Nope, he doesn’t play small ball. Besides, the verdict is a foregone conclusion. Instead, he set about to win over the entire Big Apple.

When not being dressed down by the totally uncompromised Judge Merchan, Trump is spending his time among the people of New York City. He isn’t rubbing elbows with stock brokers or news anchors. He’s hanging out with the people that keep the city humming along – shop owners, restaurant workers, and construction journeymen.

The Donald is spending his legal downtime roaming the city with MSM camera crews in tow – hoping to catch Trump in a Biden level gaff. But instead, they’re televising excited people, shaking the Donald’s hand, waving American flags, and chanting something about Trump and four more years.

The judge clearly intended to prevent Trump from campaigning during his trial. But instead, the world sees Trump:

In so doing, Trump is gaining support from the middle-class Americans who are most impacted by the policies of Joe Biden. They are the families forced to decide between groceries or rent this week, because inflation took away their ability to pay for both. These are the people that see the actual impact of illegal immigration – which drives crime in their neighborhoods up, and wages in their job market down. They are the mothers and fathers worried about radicals in public schools confusing their children about right and wrong – but are unable to afford any alternative.

The Donald is connecting with them, because he shows concern for the problems they face, while the leftists continue to deny that the problems even exist. Just read any column by Paul Krugman and you’ll see what I mean.

Trump’s “man of the people” look, works for him because he genuinely admires people who build things, run family businesses, and frequent fast-food joints rather than James Beard award winning “dining experiences.”

While the Donald works the crowds, Judge Merchan appears oblivious to the public relations nightmare which he has created for the Dems. By November, will Donald Trump still be the “threat to democracy” which the Dems claim he is, or will he be the only candidate showing concern for working Americans? How will those working-class Americans see him versus Joe Biden?

The contrast will likely be quite jarring. Joe Biden literally stumbles his way through each day with apparently not a care in the world – certainly not for the people whose votes he wants. Biden is the guy putting in a 4-day work week, while his constituents work multiple jobs to pay his salary. While Trump comforted a fallen police officer’s family, Joe Biden partied with the celebrity-class at a fundraiser. Trump sympathizes with the mother who can’t afford new clothes for her kids; Biden insists that she doesn’t understand the miracle of Bidenomics. While Trump wanders comfortably among the hazards of construction sites, Biden needs special accommodations just to board his airplane.

Most jarring of all will be the contrast between Trumps proximity to the people, and Biden’s isolation. Even though Biden won’t be campaigning from his basement this year, he will nonetheless be isolated from those he is asking to lead. While Trump moves freely among American citizens, the voters will only see Biden from a distance – campaigning from a beach in Delaware, while inside a protective bubble of media and spousal isolation.

This year’s election will be a contest between the “bubble bound” Biden, and the “NY bound” Trump. Based on crowd reactions in New York City, the billionaire that lives in a gold tower may end up being more of a “man of the people” than the guy from Scranton who claims to have driven trucks, mined coal, and attended a black church. As voters go to cast their ballots, will the Donald still be the “bad orange man”? Or will he be the guy enduring a legal onslaught beyond anything they could imagine, but who still greeted them with a smile … and a slice?
