Kamala Harris Is ‘Dangerously Liberal’

On his first day in office, President Joe Biden ended former President Donald Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy and reinstated the Obama administration’s dangerous “catch and release” policy.

Within two months, the surge of illegal immigrants crossing over the newly open U.S.-Mexico border had already become a crisis. Under increasing political pressure to act, Biden appointed Vice President Kamala Harris to lead the administration’s efforts to stem the flow of migrants into the U.S. and to “implement a long-term strategy that addresses the root causes of migration.”

Harris’s appointment was an empty gesture intended to deceive Americans into believing that the administration was working on a solution. On her watch, more than 10 million migrants have entered the country illegally and approximately 250,000 Americans have died from fentanyl overdoses.

The majority of people who unlawfully enter the U.S. voluntarily surrender to Border Patrol agents upon their arrival. Most are processed and released into the country. Unfortunately, due to the sheer volume of border crossers, the limited number of agents available to process them, and the difficulty of accessing information from foreign governments, many individuals aren’t properly vetted. Others, called “gotaways,” cross the border without encountering a CBP official. According to Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), in fiscal year 2023 alone, there were 860,000 gotaways.

In short, we have no idea who is coming into the country. We know that individuals on the terrorist watch list and other unsavory actors have entered the U.S. We also know that the number of despicable acts committed by illegals against U.S. citizens is on the rise. And we are often shocked by the lenient treatment they receive from liberal district attorneys and judges.

Fox News’ border correspondent Bill Melugin’s reporting over the just the past week tells the story.

He reported that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Boston arrested an illegal alien from Haiti for the aggravated rape of a pregnant woman at a migrant hotel in Peabody, Massachusetts. Marc Kervens Beauvais, 34, had been caught and released at the border in June 2021.

According to Melugin, “during a court hearing on Tuesday, the judge released him on his own recognizance, but ICE had officers in the courtroom and immediately arrested him.”

Melugin reported that ICE Buffalo arrested a Peruvian gang leader in Endicott, New York, on Wednesday who had been caught and released at the border in May. “Gianfranco Torres-Navarro, leader of ‘Los Killers,’ is wanted for 23 murders in Peru.”

On Thursday, ICE confirmed to Melugin that “David Davon-Bonilla, a Nicaraguan national, was caught by Border Patrol in December 2022 … and released into the US, and is now charged with raping a woman in Coney Island, [New York]. ICE says Papa Diop, a Senegalese national, was caught by Border Patrol … in May 2023, and … released. … He is now charged with raping a woman on a park bench in the Bronx.”

On Wednesday, “ICE Baltimore arrested a Guatemalan illegal alien who was convicted last month of raping a Maryland resident. Local authorities had released him after his arrest & ignored ICE’s detainer request. He was sentenced to 20 years, but the court suspended all but 190 days of the sentence. Yes, you read that correctly. ICE found him today in Waldorf, MD, and took him into federal custody.”

These are just a few of the casualties from the Biden-Harris open border.

And now, Harris is brazenly trying to blame the border crisis on Trump and Republican lawmakers who prevented passage of the Emergency National Security Supplemental Appropriations Act in February. This travesty of a bill wasn’t designed to end the crisis. Just like Harris’s appointment as border czar in March 2021, the mere introduction of this bill allowed Democrats to say that they offered a solution, but the evil Republicans blocked it.

This ignores the fact that Trump’s policies had secured the border — without Congress — and that Biden reversed all of those policies via 94 executive actions during his first 100 days in office.

The bottom line is that the passage of this abomination would have allowed 4,999 migrants to enter the U.S. every day before triggering a temporary border shutdown — that Biden would have been free to override — to reduce the flow by 25%. It would have allowed more than 1.8 million illegal immigrants into the U.S. each year before reaching the thresholds stipulated in the bill.

Simply put, the bill was a setup for the GOP. It was intended to provide political cover for the Biden-Harris administration, whose failure to enforce U.S. immigration laws for the past three and a half years created the current catastrophe.

We see the consequences of this administration’s dereliction of duty every single day. And it is imperative that Harris be held accountable for it.

In the Trump campaign ad below, Harris is portrayed as the “border czar” who is “failed, weak and dangerously liberal.” They must saturate the airwaves every day with ads like this.
