The Pope has been steadfast in his condemnation of abortion — he is Catholic after all. But then he decided to engage in a bit of moral relativism, to dabble in the US election. As reported by the Catholic Hearald, the Pope speaking about pro-choice and anti-illegal immigration candidates said:
Both of them are against life, both the one who throws out migrants and the one who kills children … Those who don’t protect the migrant are lacking, it’s a sin.
How’s that for equivocation? He’s telling his flock that they face a hard choice, and if they decide that the party of killing babies is the lesser of two evils, that’s okay because one is kinda like the other — right?
The Catholic church has always held that abortion is against God’s will, and the Pope’s bit of political “threading the needle” was meant to avoid undermining that position. Church doctrine remains that conception is one of God’s miracles, and the unique combination of DNA that occurs is one of the Almighty’s creations. The fetus is a human baby in his/her early stage. The death of a baby is never something to be celebrated, and the intentional destruction of a baby is a sin.
The Pontiff claims that not welcoming uninvited guests is also a sin. But is it really? Doesn’t the nature of those crossing the border, and the motivation of those allowing them to do so matter?
Certainly, there are hard working families among the migrants that wish to make better lives for themselves — and there is a legal means for them to enter the country. But that is not the full nature of what’s happening at our southern border.
Does the Pope really believe it’s a sin if we refuse to accept
- An attempt by the Democrat party to achieve one party rule by changing the country’s demographics,
- Attempts by drug cartels to turn our population into walking zombies with illegal narcotics,
- Human traffickers profiting off of slavery and prostitution, and
- Radicals attempting to collapse our civilization to pave the way for communism?
Is it a sin to resist the things that create human misery on both sides of the border — because it runs counter to the narrative? If so, does he ask the Holy Father’s forgiveness every night for the guards he employs to protect the Vatican?
The Vicar of Christ seems to have missed that his argument can be taken in two different ways. One interpretation is that God wishes us to be charitable to the downtrodden — his intended message. The other interpretation is that abortion is no more sinful that being inhospitable to unwelcome guests — the message that the “abortion access is a human right” radicals will hear.
The Pope is correct that issues of morality can get quite complicated. Fortunately, God made it simple for us by carving the important stuff into stone tablets. Those tablets clearly state, “Thou shalt not kill.” But there’s not even any fine print on those tablets that says, “Thou shalt not lock your doors at night.”

Considering he also just said, “If you start to fight, ‘my religion is more important than yours, mine is true and yours isn’t,’ where will that lead us? There’s only one God, and each of us has a language to arrive at God. Some are Sheik, Muslim, Hindu, Christian, and they are different paths [to God].”
The Pope is just a heretic, captured by the spirit of the age, masquerading as God’s spokesman on earth. He may be speaking for a supernatural being, but I don’t think it is God. So Francis getting involved in politics is no surprise.
Again, how many illegal immigrants has the Pope allowed in Vatican City? How about you start at home, Francis. Frankly, he needs to start with a genuine conversion and repentance because Pope Francis teaches heresy.
It is difficult to walk this moral relativism tightrope of “abortion versus not welcoming immigrants.” When a country invites immigrants ACCORDING TO THEIR LAWS, that is hardly the equivalent of killing babies. Wanting to deport people who break our laws is not equivalent to killing babies. Wanting to deport criminals who come here illegally and prey on citizens and other immigrants is NOT the equivalent of killing babies. Insisting that we take poor immigrants according to our laws, only as we can support and assimilate them, instead of allowing a mass flooding at our borders doesn’t even come close to killing innocents. What people should remember is that the pope is NOT “infallible” on these subjects. You are not required to agree with him or follow his lead on such matters. He does not have to be “obeyed.” He can have his own opinion just like we do. If he likes the color red, you are not required to like red. There is no Catholic requirement to let poor nations flood our borders or allow criminals and cartels to come in and prey on innocents. There is, however, a Catholic requirement to protect the lives of the unborn.
