American Law Enforcement Officers are a special breed. Our secular one-size-fits-all government cannot just take any person, and by subjecting him or her to extensive and sensitive training, create a LEO. A Law Enforcement Officer is one who first and foremost wants to be a law-enforcement officer because he/she honestly likes being able to help people. At the same time, has a strong sense of right and wrong, exhibits leadership abilities and subscribes to a healthy fear of being labeled a coward.
The American LEO exemplifies theologically-inspired moral and ethical values including the traits of bravery and common sense; entrusted to a physical-boundary of a political division of society with the authority, duty, obligation and power to maintain tranquility, protect property and persons and investigate and arrest anyone violating codified laws and rules in accordance with the Constitution.
American police officers are NOT the enemy, nor are they hand-holders, social workers, jack-booted-thugs or heroes. However, evil-doers may deem them the enemy; they may become hand-holders when comfort is needed or social workers when helping the indigent and even jack-booted-thugs when breaking down doors to protect the protectees from evil doers – and when heroic acts are required….
