Those zany Twelver’s over in Iran believe that Muhammad al-Mahdi – the 12th Iman – is alive and well, working behind the scenes to deliver ultimate worldwide justice … as defined by the guy in the black robe and turban currently hiding in a bunker at an undisclosed location. The Ayatollah insists that due to the divine influence of Mr. 12, they can’t lose, no matter how bleak things look.
But in just eight days, and with no enemy boots on the ground, (Okay, maybe with a few Mossad boots on the ground) the average Twelver’s world has changed a wee bit. The Little Satan, and his BFF Big Satan, have
- Caused a schedule delay in the nuclear destruction of God’s chosen people bigger than that of Governor Hairgel’s bullet train,
- Turned Iranian military leadership into a 48-hour gig,
- Encouraged Hezbollah and Hamas to stop checking the pagers that they no longer carry, and
- Gotten the VIP unlimited access pass to Iran’s airspace.
And the Satan brothers did it all without losing a single pilot.
Assuming the Mullahs aren’t a bunch of hucksters using the word of Allah as a patina of faith to play-act at being righteous to the world, it’s enough to make a Twelver question which side Muhammad al-Mahdi is playing for. Isn’t he supposed to be on the side of “death to the infidels” rather than “love thy neighbor”?
Thankfully, things are a bit quieter in the skies above Iran and Israel this week. It’s almost as if the Iranians have decided a ceasefire is preferable to being bitch slapped every day for the civilized world’s amusement. Is it possible that the black clad Twelver clan has lost faith in the 12th Iman? Or have the Shia Mullahs always been a bunch of con men using cries of “Marg bar Kāferān” to advance their imperialistic ambitions – which don’t seem particularly realistic at the present time.
Personally, I don’t care if the faith of the mad Mullahs has been broken, or if it’s just that the swindle is exposed. I pray thanks to the God I have faith in, for the brave men and women who have delayed the arrival time of the four horsemen, even if only by a few months (as CNN claims).
