Democrats rely on “racism” like a crack addict needing a fix. The SPLC is just one source of perceived prejudice.
Racism is not dead, but it is on life support – kept alive by politicians, race hustler and people who get a sense of superiority by denouncing others as racists.

Last week’s indictment of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) was a long time coming. The document details how the SPLC conducted wire fraud, bank fraud and money laundering, to generate a lie of racism everywhere. Page 7 of the charging document summaries the issue (emphasis mine):
To carry out this scheme and artifice, the SPLC explicitly sought donations to help “dismantle” violent extremist groups. In the SPLC solicitations, donors were not told some of the funds were used to pay high level leaders of violent extremist groups and others, nor were the donors ever told some of the donated funds were used for the benefit of the violent extremist groups or that some of the funds would be used in the commission of state and federal crimes.
Should we be surprised that a leftist organization that claims it fights “racism and hate” is actually fostering it? Not in the least. It’s simply a matter of supply and demand. The Democratic Party needs racism, or perceived racism to exist. If the supply is not there, liberals must create it.
Basic economics, the larger a demand for a good or service relative to supply, the higher it’s value (price). While there was a great deal of racism earlier in our history (slavery, Jim Crow), our nation has evolved into a “more perfect union.” The Civil War, 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments, and other laws against racism, gradually reduced discrimination in society. The population mobilized, as overt racism was overcome by the actions of people (e.g. the Montgomery Bus Boycott). Finally our culture changed, such as acceptance of interracial relationships. Sound like, to steal a term, progress.
Democrats and liberals cannot have that. Without “racism,” or perceived racism, many of these people are out of a job. See Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton (the late Rush Limbaugh referred to the two as the Justice Brothers). Barrack Obama (enough said). Eric Holder. Benjamin Crump. Michael Baden. And countless local race baiting politicians and poverty pimps.
Exaggeration? Well, let’s look at recent reports of “racism” and what actually happened.
Bubba Wallace. The NASCAR racer complained of a “noose” in his assigned car garage in June 2020. The FBI sent 16 agents to investigate this “hate” crime. Countless manhours and dollars spent by local and federal authorities in this inquiry. This investigation discovered the “noose” was actually a rope end tied in a circle. Every garage had one or another, they are used to open the car door. And it was there for at least eight months before Wallace was assigned that garage. But it helped a B list racecar driver, known more for wearing a “I CAN’T BREATHE!” shirt than his driving, get publicity and sympathy. Race baiting anyone?
Trevon Martin. A seventeen-year-old black male, suspended from school, was reported as a suspicious person by a neighborhood watchman named George Zimmerman. For only the second time in my 61 years I head leftist media refer to someone as “White-Hispanic.” For the first time, “A white man who calls himself Hispanic.” After the shooting, the only pictures shown of Zimmerman were from a previous DWI arrest. News reports only showed a six-year-old photo of Martin in a junior high football uniform. The recent photo on his Facebook page smoking pot and handling a pistol didn’t fit the template.
Michael Brown. An 18-year-old who had just robbed a store attempted to grab an officer’s gun. After Officer Darren Wilson justifiably shot this criminal, his friend Dorian Johnson coined the greatest lie of the 21st Century, “HANDS UP! DON’T SHOOT!” The race baiting AG Eric Holder sent 40 FBI agents to investigate this matter. Dozens of “witnesses” initially rushed to reporters to back Mr. Johnson’s lies. Later physical evidence showed Brown reached into the officer’s vehicle and attempted to take this weapon. The witnesses then revised their statements. Didn’t stop professional race baiters like Obama from sending three administration officials to this criminal’s funeral.
As the SPLC will be defending itself in federal court soon, some things are certain.
- They will use the money collected to “fight racism and hatred” to defend themselves from multiple felonies. Knowing how the feds work, they will first target the strongest case, get him convicted, and offer them a plea deal. Turn on your friends, and we’ll go easy on you. And they will. Rats on a sinking ship have higher ethics than liberals looking at prison.
- The SPLC and other liberal groups will be pleading for money from their dupes, err donators, to continue “fighting racism and hatred” in America. They will get money, don’t worry. Hopefully a federal judge impounds it as part of the trial.
- Liberals will not change. They have only a few tricks to play, (none positive) and race theater is their strongest. Without it, too many professional politicians and bureaucrats will be out of a job, and they are not qualified for Starbucks.
You never know how a jury will go, but hopefully they get it right and convict the Southern Poverty Law Center. It will be amusing to see what lying group the media will use as a source to show America is still 1950s Alabama. Why not the KKK, Aryan Nation or National Alliance? They are as inclusive as the SPLC or the Democratic Party.
