Most churches loath getting involved in politics – and not only because it jeopardizes their tax-exempt status. They understandably prefer to focus their efforts on matters of the soul rather than of the body.
That we have come to revile greed, is a testament to the skill of the propagandists. They have trained us to ignore the value of success, and to demonize the wealth that flows from it. This twisting of our values and beliefs, has been done in service to those who seek control over us, rather than prosperity for us.
You were created by God for a specific purpose. In fact, when you became a Christian, God gave you at least one very specific spiritual gift. Are you using it?
While God commanded us to use our gifts to prosper, the “green new deal” and its variants would drive us to fewer people, more destitution, and less freedom. That is the opposite of being good stewards of God’s gifts.
