The beat goes on. Week after week the Biden administration tops itself in a nearly incredible display of chronic incompetence. Plainly, the President himself is the worst offender, but he has plenty of company in what has degenerated into a parade of fools. Many might read those words and wonder if perhaps that evaluation is too harsh. By the time those folks finish reading this little essay, it is practically guaranteed that they will think that characterization is way too understated. The truly unfortunate and alarming aspect of the situation is that is no relief in sight. The midterms will only restrain their abject stupidity. It will take a Presidential election to stop and reverse it.
“Wait!”, some may be thinking, what if the President and his advisors admit reality and he resigns? Could that stop this slow rolling train wreck? Nice thought, but let’s look at the hard cold truth in a little bit of detail and then you, dear readers, can mull over that idea on your own. Unfortunately, it is highly unlikely that you will feel good about your conclusion.
Let’s assume Joe Biden resigns, who would possibly take over? You know the answer: Kamala Harris. Has there ever been a more inept, unlikeable, and thoroughly ignorant person to hold that office? Kamala is nearly as incomprehensible as Biden, but when it finally becomes clear what she is trying to say, it also becomes clear that she is a dolt without any value to offer in resolving the issue she is addressing:
So, if Biden leaves we are left with an incoherent, talentless hack who started her career as a powerful politician’s call girl.
The chances of Harris leaving are even slimmer than the chances of Biden departing early, but surely with Biden gone and Harris at least cognizant enough to get out of the way, the talent in the Cabinet will start to show itself. Perhaps, but therein lies the rub. No matter how far down the list of Cabinet members one goes the supply of incompetence gets larger and more glaring. There is literally no one in Biden’s Cabinet who is capable and effective. Anthony Blinken is the closest thing Biden has to a competent Cabinet member, and the Secretary of State is a complete failure. He participated in the debacle in Afghanistan, enabled the war in Ukraine, and has let Russia become our chief negotiator with Iran over their nuclear program (what could go wrong with that), and is now an advocate for eliminating tariffs and other trade barriers on our main global rival and foe, China. Apparently, 40 years of allowing China to ransack our economy is not long enough for Blinken.
Then again, we could look to the Treasury… OOPS! Janet Yellen?!? She will likely go down in history as the worst and dumbest Federal Reserve Chairperson ever. Not only did she singlehandedly enact policies that started us on the current inflationary spiral while she was the Fed Chair, but she was also cheerleading for them most of last year as she assured everyone that inflation was “transitory.” The complete history on her is not yet written, but this quote from her about the economy while she was leading the Fed, “Would I say there will never, ever be another financial crisis? … I hope that it will not be in our lifetimes, and I don’t believe it will be,” does not inspire confidence.
Seriously, Ms. Yellen? She said that in 2017, and we have had a near miss with a small crisis in December 2018; another huge issue in March 2020; and are currently staring the mother of all financial debacles in the face. In the financial industry, the “expert’ who declared in 1929: “Stocks have reached a permanently high plateau” has long been hailed as the dumbest investment expert of all time. Janet Yellen will likely take that top spot soon, just as her boss has replaced Jimmy Carter as the worst President ever. Just this week, the amazing Ms. Yellen was quoted as saying that she now thinks inflation will be around for some time, but she really hopes it will “start coming down”. Anyone remember the old saying, “hope is not a strategy”? Apparently, it is now our national economic policy.
How about the military? It perennially ranks as one of our most trusted institutions. Surely the Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, with a long military pedigree, is competent and looking after America’s interests. You are kidding, right?
So, this man who made it to 4-star rank, and now runs the entire military, would have us believe that the organization he was successful in and ran large parts of is riddled with racism and white supremacists. Paging Lebron James! It is ludicrous for people who are wildly successful in their organization to try and hang themselves on some sort of racial cross and play the victim!! In the case of Austin, his whining and poor mouthing is even more egregious since he had the power to FIX THE PROBLEM if it existed in his commands. He is trying to tell us that he is so magnificently talented that he was able to rise to be the head of the world’s largest white racist army despite being black?!? He is a race baiting political hack. The fact that his top military man, General Milley, is also a political hack and a seditionist who sold out to China is not surprising, but it is alarming. Lloyd Austin is manifestly incompetent, and bigoted too.
Merrick Garland? The radical ideologue who targeted parents who attended school board meetings as domestic terrorists? He is the Attorney General, and his actions during his tenure should make every American thank God that the GOP blocked his nomination to the Supreme Court. Garland is an authoritarian with no respect for the rights of individuals or the Constitution. Given free rein, he would want to make himself a dictator. He is a disgrace to his office.
Jennifer Granholm? She was incompetent as the Governor of Michigan and has no business being the Energy Secretary. She has not got the slightest idea about how the energy market works. Pathetically, she does not think her ignorance is a problem.
I do not think the average American sees the humor in this situation. Like the Treasury Secretary, Granholm thinks ignoring the issue and hoping it goes away is the appropriate course of (in)action.
The Secretary of Homeland Security will likely be impeached for his dereliction of duty and malfeasance in handling our border security. Ergo, Mr. Mayorkas offers no hope for Americans hoping for a scintilla of competence in this cabal of grifters, hacks, and frauds. Likewise, Pete Buttigieg is an abject laughingstock as the Transportation Secretary. After taking two months off during America’s worst transportation crisis ever to be with his legal domestic partner and the new baby they adopted, “Little Petey” came back to work and immediately focused on the most pressing issues; electrification of busses in DC and “racist roads”. Maybe Little Petey is an understudy of Lloyd Austin. OTOH, if Petey thinks the government is systemically racist, why is he contributing to that problem by filling a high-level spot a deserving minority could easily fill. Do us all a favor Petey, resign!! Strike a blow against white supremacy, Petey! However, one must admit he makes more convincing evidence for white inferiority.
The list goes on and so does the incompetence and ignorance. The new White House press secretary is a walking avatar for the entire Biden administration: incompetent, ignorant, incomprehensible and incorrigible.
The really telling thing about this person is that she is absolutely convinced that she is brilliant, well-informed and highly qualified for her position. If anyone criticizes her performance, you can bet dollars to donuts that she will claim it is driven by racism, not her embarrassing job performance. If a liberal says “racism” they expect that to end all discussion and the target of their insult to immediately and grovel for forgiveness. The best response to that charge is to laugh in the speaker’s face. Taking them seriously just encourages them.
Yes, the Biden White House and its parade of fools, cabal of clowns, and gaggle of goofs, is a sight to behold, but America is stuck with the lot of them for another 2 1/2 years. The best Americans who oppose their idiocy can do is vote for the GOP in November and hang onto their hats for the rough ride ahead. If the journey is rough enough, and the GOP tries hard enough to cushion the bumps and bounces along the way, this horrible experiment with a hard left government will convince Americans to head as quickly as possible in the opposite direction in 2024. That will be a parade patriotic Americans can be proud of joining
