The world is overheating, and now we know why. It all started when the Supreme Court had a big week. Sure, it made a few consequential decisions, but its real accomplishment was how much it agitated the Dems. To their consternation, the Democrats found out that they may actually have to sell their crazy ideas to voters – rather than stamping their feet and throwing a tantrum to get their way.
It all started with a ruling on the 2nd Amendment. It turns out that we actually have a right to choose whether to be a victim or not – both in and out of our home. When threatened by thugs (of the criminal or governmental type), the Constitution does not require us to lay down and accept death or serious injury – not even for social equity. We can fight back – even by lethal means. According to headlines, “Democrats are melting down” over the decision.
The Supremes followed up their 2nd Amendment ruling with a decision that states can’t outlaw common rifles and magazines (often erroneously referred to as “clips” by the left). It seems that “shall not infringe” actually means “shall not infringe.” How about that? And it’s not even a penumbra from an emanation. Or is it an emanation from a penumbra – I forget? The Constitution actually says “shall not infringe.” It’s too bad the Dems haven’t bothered to read the Constitution anytime during the past two hundred years. Maybe they should. How did the Dems react? You guessed it – they melted down.
Then the Supreme Court moved on to the issue of abortion. It found that God did not actually gift us with the right to terminate a baby right up to the point where it can say “mama.” Again, big surprise, that decision caused the left to melt down. They attempted to assassinate a judge. They even threatened to stop having sex until the court changes its mind. I’m not sure how that helps their cause – but whatev. The Democrats generally acted like a bunch of uncivilized anarchists. Maybe it wasn’t an act.
Then the court moved on to addressing global warming (or is it climate change this week?). The Supremes found that when Congress sent the EPA out to clean up the air and water, it did not actually empower it to shut down whole industries, cripple the economy, and plunge Americans into darkness. Of course, the left (and the Sierra Club) melted down. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez proposed a $20 trillion spending bill to fix the mess. We’re assured that it’s paid for and will help lower inflation as well.
Finally, the Supreme Court decided to really shock everyone. It forgot about separation of church and state, and tweaked the Dems by talking about religion (well, at least prayer) while in a government building! They handed down the radical ruling that we actually have a right to speak to God, at any time, even while on school property. If moved to communicate with our maker, we don’t have to whisper, “Catch you later Lord. I can’t talk until I pass that property line over there.” How did the left react? They melted down of course.
But the left’s bad week didn’t end with the final Supreme Court decision. We learned last week that Elon Musk is getting close to completing his purchase of Twitter. And get this, he vowed to make Twitter a platform for open debate! Doesn’t he realize that’s not what Twitter was created for? That was a bridge too far for the advocates of tolerance and coexistence. Their temperature went full China syndrome super critical.
Notice a common theme here? The polar bears are happy. The ice caps and glaciers are intact. There’s only one explanation for AOC’s hysterics – liberal overheating.
The first step to solving any problem is to understand the problem. Now we know how to solve global warming – lithium treatment. In the medical field, lithium is known as a mood stabilizer – which sounds like just the ticket for over excited liberals. If he can mandate vaccines, surely old Joe can mandate lithium therapy – to save the planet and all. It will calm the liberals down, but have no measurable effect on their intelligence, critical thinking skills, or work ethic – such as it is.
