Listening to Dr Fauci testimony to Congress was an interesting discussion. My take and speaking as a scientist I find that science is for sale. Having been in the science industry for many years (Since 1978) in fact science is an industry in want of funding. Unfortunately, we have brilliant people doing scientific work they know is wrong, but the funding is there for that research. Such as global warming/cooling m/change. If the funding is there these brilliant people will find a way to give you the answer you want. It’s all about the funding. Personally it’s a terrible waste the these brilliant scientists time as in essence they are selling their souls. Their work could and should be aimed at discovering things that benefit us all.
Problem is congress has given its responsibility of fund direction to a bunch of unelected officials like Fauci who then use the billions he directs to leverage power and adherence of those who receive the money to agree with him. The billions in grants that universities, research fellows all depend on for their livelihood is at stake. Combine that with a very willing media to push the drug companies’ narratives because of advertising dollars and the CDC who receives much of their funding from fees the very same drug companies pay, you get a narrative that has killed thousands maybe hundreds of thousands in the name of greed.
Congress gets cover by saying “we did not fund that” so they go right along with it. Time for massive defunding of these agencies and the scope by which they operate. The CDC should be funded only by taxpayer dollars and held accountable for the results of their decisions. This has been going on a long time as Dr Robert Kennedy’s book tells us, but it is not only in this department but ramped in the entire federal government. The answer rest with the house republicans this coming year, do they have what it takes to defund these agencies and stop the madness, or will they sell out and put on a spectacle as in the past and do nothing while our country burns? Time will tell if we elected good and honest representatives.
