Political Parody As a Weapon Part LXVIII

Political Parody As a Weapon Part LXVIII; Last week in Part LXVII, we discriminated against the color of Christmas, or at least a Christmas hopefully not to come. This week, we will look at New Years past and yet to come through the lens of song parody.

As the New Year approaches every fifty two weeks or so, many writers and pundits take a look back at what occurred during the last twelve months, and others make a prediction of what they expect to unfold in the 365 days ahead.

The big stories of 2022 deal with the economy and foreign policy as well as the culture. Vladmir Putin used the tactics and language of the left as he launched his special operation to clear Ukraine of its “fascists” and “nazis”, breaking the moratorium he observed during the Trump administration of not overtly invading any former Soviet republics (unlike his actions during the Obama and Bush 43 terms). The Supreme Court folded up the penumbras of Roe v. Wade, and admitted that the left’s sacrament of abortion was not a religious practice protected by the Constitution, but an activity subject to state regulation like other homicides. The Biden administration countered by keeping its promise to appoint a black person of gender to the court, even if she could not define what a woman was.

Driven in largest part by federal spending and energy policies, inflation reached the highest level in decades. Biden depleted the strategic petroleum reserve in order to stabilize runaway gas prices that rose in response to his war on domestic drilling. Prices for food staples such as milk, bread and eggs went through the roof.

Elon Musk’s contentious purchase of Twitter and his subsequent house cleaning confirmed that FBI and other government officials intervened in the 2020 presidential election to assist the suppression of the Biden family corruption evidence contained in the Hunter Biden laptop. Once the Biden administration was installed, this collaboration dropped all pretense of being a foreign counterintelligence operation and went straight to censoring a free press under the guise of preventing COVID 19 “disinformation”. Republicans underwhelmed in the midterm elections, in large part due to their inability to master voting on other than Election Day.

In the culture, many of our indoctrinated youth expressed a fear of reproducing as a result of their fear of climate change, as was noted in past articles. Of course, some are concerned that RNA vaccine mandates make these fears moot. This is not the first time, though, that changes in family planning habits or fear of what the future holds has been an issue. More than half a century ago, a musical duo recording as Zager and Evans had a pop music hit with their song “In the Year 2525 (Exordium and Terminus)”. The song foretold of a future more than five centuries away where families would be irrelevant and work would be unnecessary. A little more than five decades later, this is what the left has been trying to bring us through its puppets and agents in the Biden administration.

The song went on to suggest that perhaps The Creator might find the direction of human activity to be disappointing, and might eventually be tempted to tear it down and start over. Those familiar with the Old Testament and its warnings about Sodom, Gomorrah and the Great Flood will recognize that a blueprint for such reconstruction exists, and that these “fundamental transformations” rarely end well for those whose ambitions exceed being turned into a pillar of salt.

I have borrowed the tune and the theme from Mr. Zager and Mr. Evans, and reworked it to a view of the future in 2025, if the republican party and the conservative movement cannot successfully deny the left and its democrat puppets another presidential term.

In the Year Two Thousand Twenty Five

if mankind still can thrive

Can woman be defined,

it’s a bind

In the Year Two Thousand Twenty Five

Can’t even tell the truth, says the F B I

Everything you think, do and say

Must be cleared and said their way

In the Year Two Thousand Twenty Five

You ain’t gonna need I D, nor be alive

On a ballot there’s nothing to do

They will harvest it and pick for you

In the Year Two Thousand Twenty Five

Your arms hangin’ sore at your side

From a shot and a booster or two

That Joe Biden ordered for you

In the Year Two Thousand Twenty Five

You won’t need no husband, won’t need no wife

There’ll be no children for you to arrange

Given up to fight climate change

In the next eight years or ten

If the end’s coming, it oughta be here by then

And when it doesn’t they’ll look at us and say

It’s because we did things their way

In the next eight years or ten

God is gonna check His watch to see when

He’ll look it over from top to bottom

Like he once did Gomorrah and Sodom

By the year Two thousand thirty five

I’m kinda wonderin’ if America still will thrive

If democrats get another term or two

There’s no limit to the damage they’ll do

Biden now has had two years

We’ve all cried a billion tears

For what he’s done and will do

His reign must be through

But if he gets more years

We’ll realize all our fears

As we all go broke

To subsidize the woke

In the Year Two Thousand Twenty Five

if mankind still can thrive

Can woman be defined,

it’s a bind
