Good news-finally-he has been Found! Recent breaking news reports that Special Counsel John Durham is still alive-relatively unharmed-was found wandering about DC mumbling something about “couldn’t get a conviction of Hitler in the swamp….” And dear reader is the “lucky beneficiary” hit in the drive-by in this instance, as my planned article (what plan) that was a decent rant in its own right on another topic-has been scrapped and now elevated into that most egregious slobbering indignity of the run-on nuclear screed class of spewing verbiage delivered with as little punctuation as decorum can stand, with the net effect of a direct assault on dear reader’s patience and sensibilities.
As you’ve no doubt heard or learned by now, Durham documented just about the same thing IG Horowitz found during his review: no valid predicate for the FBI to undertake the FBI Russia Collusion, Pee Pee Hoax and election interference Crossfire Hurricane investigation on candidate Trump. He took Horowitz one better with the blinding flash of the obvious recognition that the FBI leadership-from the director on down-acted with malice aforethought and conscious and confirmation bias against candidate and then President Trump.
What makes it treason is-well-all of it. But there is a big difference going after a mere candidate, a whole nother thing a presidential nominee, and a whole nother sentence when it’s a president. Like when Sussman went to the CIA with the cockamamie-and long debunked-Alpha Bank hoax about Trump’s financial ties with Russia: Trump was president in Feb 2017 when this treasonous action was undertaken.
In a world where justice gets meted out swiftly, timely, decisively and with unambiguous clarity and a sense of righteousness, this would be the poster child exemplar that proves once and for all: this ain’t it-wherever that world is, it ain’t earth, and it is certainly not America.
I watched a video where a spokesman works through the words and philosophy of Wyatt Earp on wielding a gun, should that most undesirable of circumstances prove unavoidable. Can you imagine a Twilight Zone-like situation where the principals in this drama were whisked back to the future in the 19th century, say the 1870s, and the drama plays out with the operative justice done frontier-style a la Yul Brenner, Westworld?
Picture Flynn in court (over 3 decades of military service) with a Judge Sullivan who chooses the unfortunate turn of phrase that includes the term “traitor?” There were disagreements a plenty throughout history, but there was a time when the term “suck” was akin to a swearword, calling somebody a liar “fighting words” and calling a career military man a traitor was simply not done.
Same-same Schifty Schifthead spinning lies about “collusion in plain sight” and maintaining that lie in spite of all the administration officials who have access, motive, desire and position to see such evidence-who-yet-to a person-denied under oath ever personally seeing it-any of it-never. And yet here comes Schift straight from that meeting and those statements under oath and lying like an ice cube thief on a hot summer’s day-telling the “in plain sight lies” to the LSMBTG and the public every day, acting like a president telling lies about doctors, and health plans and $2500 dollars, every day.
I envision the meme for the above features Trump with the Wyatt Earp hat, piece of hay in his teeth, steely eyed look (a little recorder background music-Spaghetti Western style,) a bullet manufacturer building behind him cranking out supplies, big ole hogs leg six shooter at the ready, a line of ~6000 people in front of him looking scared, led by Obama, Biden, Rice, HRC, Clapper, Brennan, Comey-stretching on and on like a Trump rally. Schifty Schiff is on the ground in the front, bug eyes a twitching and pencil neck a straining, and Trump is saying-“next!”
We just don’t see justice meted out very fast or very fair these days.
I don’t want to get ahead of my spraying dear reader down with verbiage brimstone and fire about what Durham found out, but hell, you can read that on your own-it ain’t no different than what we knew and thought all along-for instance, the FBI investigation of Danchenko back nearly ten years ago when he was soliciting one of his colleagues-who was going to join the government-to sell him classified information-and yes, I know, it shocked me that you can’t do this anymore.
But the actual story is that the FBI eventually dropped the investigation-because he bought a ticket back to Russia and they thought he left the country: but-surprise-he didn’t, maybe they should have asked TSA, Customs, State Dept or the FBI about it.
A few short years later when the FBI was willing to pay the big bucks to verify the Trump baloney (your taxpaying big bucks) and had fired Steele-who knew nothing, and all that nothing came from a sub-source, well who did they seek out to put on the payroll as a confidential human source, the sub-source: this guy. Oh, and apparently forgot-or overlooked, cause-“Bad Orange Man-” about the previous case file for soliciting to buy classified information. Cause the US is not in the business of hiring CHS who are known criminals…
Our stalwart FBI under Comey: the gang that couldn’t shoot straight.
Not to get ahead of or signal my sarcasm or cynicism-but do you remember Durham? I think when he started I was making 1.25 under the table plus tips (oh, and if you like your tips unmolested (mostly kidding, but even at 11 it struck me as somewhat of a bad policy for a waiter or waitress to give 50 cents and a sob story at the end of the night to the kid who cleaned every one of your stinking tables-and left the tip in the center of the table for you-since that kid can probably handle a little dollar math and figure out what 10% of $26 is, but also knows that 50 cents is in the-you keep it-you need it more than me territory…and the bad news it brings, is oh-they stiffed you-no dollars, just coins) for busing the tables as soon as they empty, plus free food-meatball sandwiches, Veal Cutlet Parmesan to die for in those hot scalloped plates baked to nuclear temperatures that you need a mitt to handle. Plus, the residue of any drinks made by Anthony or Vito -who hated throwing any excess down the sink-(you ever taste a Pink Slipper kid (foot in or out?)) If Galiano was in the drink-there was usually enough for a “Saludo” for two. And I digress but Anthony and Vito were just too cool-“What did Jerry and Rose give you for a tip tonight?” 50 cents. “What-ba fannoli-hey Jerry ya cheap stunado, whatsa matter fa you-give this kid some paper before I schift in your pasta…”
Ah, yes, I know, wasn’t Durham appointed as part of the JFK Assassination Investigation? Or was it Watergate-hmm, no it was something about a blue dress-or was it the outing of Valerie Plame by Richard Armitage to prove that she was outed by-well-Scooter Libby-too, or first or-frankly-where the hell did Scooter come from (and is he sneaky on the getaway or have two wheels-mysteries of life?)
No-I believe Durham was first assigned to find out what happened to my $2500, doctor and my health insurance plan that all disappeared when we finally did something Nanny Paloozi advocated-to pass it in order to read the damned plan-and watch all Obama’s lies came to fruition. Only he didn’t really lie-he just repeated it 7,459,741,234 times-so often that when Michael slapped him upside his head and informed him they couldn’t keep his plan-he went straight to the mirror and chewed his own arse for 2 days (which is a big hyperbolic lie, cause he actually took one look in the mirror-and grabbed the selfie stick to “share that good look’n schtuff.”)
Or was he the Fast and Furious (who names these things-oh, the other movie title was taken (Dumb and Dumber-that makes sense)) investigation “guy”-where Obama denied any knowledge or involvement by the White House in the 3 step plan to let illegal weapons be sold to cartels in Mexico to “track them” and then find them (somehow only got through step 1,) and then start a straight faced lie campaign against the NRA and gun rights: like a tale of a true genius trying to leap at the last second to survive the elevator crash (it’s a myth.) And when push came to shove, he (Obama) asserted “executive privilege” over the issue-that he spent not an inconsiderable amount of time pleading the SGT Schultz Amendment-he knew nothing, did not know about it, was not involved in it-this White House was not witting, (he doesn’t even like guns although he has been known to pose with a shotgun or two to woo those voters who do. Looking about as comfortable with it in his hands as Jussie Smollet with a Subway sandwich and his cell phone at oh dark thirty in the heart of a freezing Chicago morning fending off black faux MAGA white racists with a rope and some bleach.)
Or was he the guy looking into why the US Govt under Obama-after pretty much sitting on their hands and whistling Saul Alinsky tunes as the Arab Spring played out, including failing to come to the support of one of our staunchest allies in an increasingly unstable Middle East-Hosni Mubarak-while shadow supporting the DNI described “largely secular Muslim Brotherhood,” and then decided that the guy who willingly gave up his WMD-Qaddafi-should stay, might go, had to go and Libya has been an ungovernable mess ever since.
Or maybe he was busy looking into how Russia made Kerry and Obama look a might silly when Syria called Obama’s Red Line gaffoonery (although he later said it was the “world’s Red Line-” like Phoebe’s tattoo,) and Kerry’s buffoonery bluff on Syrian WMD stockpiles where the US welcomed Russia back into the Middle East as dealmakers and power brokers while leading from behind. Or was it the “Color Revolution” in Ukraine 2013-2014 to encourage the “people” to overturn an election and chase a Putin sympathizer out of office-resulting in Putin deciding to reunify Crimea and Russia? And look at how well that’s turned out (so far.)
No-wait a minute-I got it-he was the guy investigating how the intelligence community-DNI Clapper, CIA Director Brennan, FBI Dir Comey, came up with a scheme to brief the Russia, Russia, Russia Pee Pee Hoax to President Obama and then to President-Elect Trump-along with NSA-Admiral Rogers-to set the predicate for Clapper’s leak to future bosses at CNN to follow-up the maestro stroke of Senator McCain having his Chief of Staff David McKay fly over to London to get the “dossier” and then meet with BuzzFeed -at the McCain Center in the swamp- to “go over a few details from the Steele Dossier” that Hillary Clinton paid for to create lies out of whole cloth by Fusion GPS’ Glenn Simpson and Steele-which his BuzzFeed collaborator apparently copied during a potty break and they subsequently broke the story despite the FBI already having great difficulty verifying any of it-and actually firing Steele (for violating his contract by leaking to the LSMBTG) so the DOJ could pick him up-just happened to be the husband whose wife was helping spin and refine some of the CIA and Fusion yarns-although it was apparently not so hard-much easier-for folks who were “Schifty and Stalwart hacks” in the LSMBTG-particularly congress-who found it a great companion novel to the lies they were already telling about Russian collusion in plain sight (it was like right there-and I’m reminded of my favorite lying Schifty cartoon where he is on the couch in an obvious psychiatrist’s office, talking about the collusion in plain sight, and the Dr. asks-“Is it in this room right now? Can I see it, touch it?”)
And what a coincidence that the SSCI Security lead (Wolfe) was found to be having an affair with a BuzzFeed Reporter-was McCain on the SSCI-why, yes he was (Ex officio.) That is so weird that the security manager just so happened to be sharing both his bed-and classified information with her: oh, my! The judge went lenient on him-after all-Trump!
Speaking of the SSCI, with the consistent stench of never Trump in the committee room, those stalwarts led by Senator Burr (what happened to him) did their own investigation and this is an extract that has aged like Norman Bate’s Mom:
On April 21, 2020, the SSCI (chaired at the time by the Republican Richard Burr) released a much redacted report[12][13][14] with its final judgment that the intelligence community’s assessment was “coherent and well-constructed”; the SSCI therefore supports the intelligence community’s claim that Putin’s “interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election” in favor of candidate Trump was unprecedented in its “manner and aggressiveness”. Nevertheless, no direct evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia was found.[
I’ve written an article or two on the malfeasance of these folks who have clearances, access to all the information available, but are not intel folks and if we’ve learned anything in our tortured history it’s that intel and politics make for strange bedfellows. The small extract above is embarrassing enough, with the Brennan lie about Russia interference for Trump repeated without caveat as if it is/was based on facts, intelligence or anything but Brennan’s desperation to be HRC’s Director of National Intelligence. The judgement derived from an embarrassing National Intelligence Estimate on Election Interference that was completed in less time than is normally spent to develop a terms of reference, touted as the consensus of the 17 Intelligence Agencies-when it was the collusion of 4, done at the behest of Obama who wanted it bad: and that’s what he got, an absolute embarrassment that the IC allowed to pollute the judgement of decision makers who were only too willing to take and swallow the manure by the spoonful: truly a national embarrassment!
Love him, hate him-Trump brings out the best in a great many people, while others-he has an uncanny knack for getting them to show us the worst sides of themselves-in ways that diminish their stature-seemingly clueless but also unabashedly proud of what they’ve done.
What do I mean? Well one of the big Durham stories is the shocking news that our big agencies-DNI, CIA, DOJ/FBI, are criminal and played favorites throughout the 2016 election season and just continued doing it throughout Trump’s administration. Whoopy F’n do admitting that in May 2023 when it was abundantly clear-just for instance-that HRC approved a Jake Sullivan idea to smear Trump as a Russian stooge on 16 July 2016-and in a rare case of noblesse oblige, when CIA Stooge Brennan found out from a reported Russian source, he briefed Obama’Linsky on about 26 or 28 July-and Linsky-shocking as it was at the time-since it became FOIAble-directed that an Investigative Referral be done by the DNI/CIA for the FBI to look into it.
Common knowledge-we knew it as it was happening. We also know that Foghat was the intelligence community music of choice-“Slow Ride-” with the actual memorandum not transmitted to the FBI until 5 September 2016: it took over a month for an investigative referral letter directed by the president to be generated in the waning days of the election.
But that time didn’t go to waste, as CIA snake Brennan took advantage of the “window of opportunity” presented by the delay to brief Senate Majority Leader-the disgraceful-“Dirty Harry Reid” on the issue of the Russians and Trump on 26 August, which resulted in a fairly urgent memo from Reid to the FBI on 28 August requesting that Comey look into this matter. Pretty amazing if you think about it, as this left a FOIA trail a mile wide. Particularly since Brennan seemed to get things bassackwards, as he at a minimum told Reid that the Russians were interfering on behalf of Trump because they had “kompromat,” and favored Trump: CIA Chief Brennan told him the opposite of the message briefed to President Obama’Linsky: wow!
What did Comey think of the IC referral about HRC? He said it was not memorable: he didn’t recall it, even when reminded about it. But he has long been confirmed-now by Durham-to have been in attendance when Brennan briefed Obama…or was that SGT Schultz???
I want to close on a humorous note-although this ain’t it-The irony award as a follow-up to the above-although somewhat peripheral to Trump-are those letter people (LGBTQ+mouse) who have decided they are going to boycott any state that is going to make a concerted effort to prosecute those that attempt to sexualize children: and you almost have to read that again slower to think through what they are saying-and also encourage them to sign-up to the petition that asserts their rights to sexualize children…Reminds one of a commercial (That’s not what that means, that’s not how any of this works…)
