The American Intelligence Circus

The Intel Circus: How America’s Intelligence Community Became a Political Puppet

Once upon a time, America’s intelligence apparatus was the pride of the nation, safeguarding the homeland and ensuring that “we the people” could sleep soundly at night. Fast forward to the 21st century, and it seems these noble institutions have morphed into little more than political tools, bending to the whims of the power-hungry rather than fulfilling their constitutional duties. The recent debacle involving Hunter Biden’s laptop is a prime example of this grotesque transformation.

Remember when over 50 former intelligence officials signed a letter suggesting that Hunter Biden’s laptop story had all the “classic earmarks of a Russian information operation”? They presented no concrete evidence, just a lot of hot air based on their supposed national security experience. The timing was impeccable, right before the 2020 presidential election, making it look like a calculated move to protect Joe Biden’s candidacy and smear Donald Trump. It’s almost as if these intelligence bigwigs were auditioning for roles in a political theater rather than doing their jobs

This letter wasn’t just a one-off blunder; it was a glaring symptom of a much larger problem. Our intelligence community has become so entrenched in political maneuvering that its primary mission—protecting the American people—has taken a back seat. These agencies, which once stood as impartial guardians of the nation, are now more like partisan pawns, ready to bend the truth and manipulate public perception whenever it suits their agenda. This isn’t just disappointing; it’s downright dangerous.

It’s high time we defund, clean up the swamp, and reorganize these agencies to perform their constitutional functions. The American people deserve an intelligence community that is accountable, transparent, and focused on genuine national security threats, not one that plays political games. By stripping away the political rot and restoring integrity to these institutions, we can ensure they serve “we the people” rather than the interests of a select few.

In conclusion, the intelligence community’s involvement in the Hunter Biden laptop affair is a stark reminder that these agencies have strayed far from their intended purpose. It’s time to take bold action to reform these institutions, ensuring they once again serve the American public with honesty and dedication. After all, an intelligence community that prioritizes political agendas over national security is a threat to the very democracy it claims to protect.

  1. Spot on. The IC needs a check-up from the neck up: a cut of 20B dollars or so and a reduction of at least 50K and a consolidation-particularly from a Human Resources standpoint-as well as a focus to put more analysts on the job (vice “management.”

A great analogy for the problem is the tooth to tail ratio in our school system!

The 21st century is right, starting with 9/11, the response that stood up the more political than IC focused DNI in FY 2005, surprise launches from N Korea shortly thereafter, Libya stupidity in 2012, Coup in Yemen, Putin moving on Crimea after Obama’s color revolution in Ukraine 2014, the Afghanistan disastrous withdrawal (CIA Dir Burns observing the CIA was “less wrong than other agencies”–Taliban took over in ~ 12 days-and we soon discovered there were lower bars,) government estimates that Ukraine might fall in 72 hours-as reported to congress, continued China fortification in the S China sea, ramifications of Iran funding and nuclear development, the “surprise” 7 Oct 2023 Hamas massive operation, the rise of the Houthi’s disrupting shipping in the Red Sea…

Not to mention the politicization of PDB reporting-China, South America, Russia-Russia-Russia and the silence on the dangers of an open border-and drug deaths that have exceeded 100K for years.

It is embarrassing to acknowledge being an IC alumni–a buddy of mine says he would rather put “porn star” on his resume…I don’t have the moustache…

    • Wasn’t that the entire point of creating the CENTRAL Intelligence Agency in the first place?

And then there’s the number of individuals FROM that community who protected Epstein, no doubt sampled his goods and are still BREATHING… they should all be assigned “undercover” to a kinkster club–as human urinals.
