Last week, House leaders announced the members of the bipartisan task force that will look into what went wrong the day of the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump and make recommendations to prevent such an attack against a Secret Service protectee from happening again.
The panel is composed of seven Republicans and six Democrats chosen by House Speaker Mike Johnson and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. Mike Kelly, who introduced the resolution to establish the task force and whose district includes Butler County, PA where the rally was held, will serve as chairman. Democrat Jason Crow will be the panel’s ranking member.
The current US House of Representatives is fortunate to have three trained military snipers: Cory Mills (R-FL) is a former Army sniper, Morgan Luttrell (R-TX) former Navy SEAL sniper and Eli Crane (R-AZ) is a former Navy SEAL sniper. Mills and Crane volunteered for the taskforce.
WHY AREN’T ANY OF THESE TRAINED SNIPERS ON THE TASKFORCE?
The Republican members are:
- Chair Mike Kelly of Pennsylvania, whose district includes Butler, PA
- Mark Green of Tennessee, military veteran and surgeon
- David Joyce of Ohio
- Laurel Lee of Florida
- Michael Waltz of Florida, combat-decorated Army veteran
- Clay Higgins of Louisiana, military veteran & former law enforcement officer
- Pat Fallon of Texas
The Democratic members are:
- Jason Crow of Colorado, military veteran and outspoken Trump hater
- Lou Correa of California
- Madeleine Dean of Pennsylvania, manager of the unconstitutional second impeachment effort against Donald Trump, after he had left office, based upon the asinine notion that he promoted & lead the incursion into the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. She was campaigning for Biden/Harris in Pennsylvania just days before Trump was shot.
- Chrissy Houlahan of Pennsylvania and outspoken Trump hater
- Glenn Ivey of Maryland and outspoken Trump hater
- Jared Moskowitz of Florida
“We have the utmost confidence in this bipartisan group of steady, highly qualified, and capable Members of Congress to move quickly to find the facts, ensure accountability, and help make certain such failures never happen again,” Johnson, a Louisiana Republican, and Jeffries, a New York Democrat, said in a joint statement.
The panel will have full subpoena power to investigate the attempt on Trump’s life at a Pennsylvania rally on July 13th. The task force will submit a final report of its findings by December 13th. Will they answer the following question?:
Did Trump’s Shooter Have A Handler?
