Did you hear Lauren Boebert talk about the ATF, on the House floor, the other day? Did you hear Matt Gaetz’s ending comments about the same agency, saying that the ATF should be the name of a minit mart on the side of the road?
I, and many others, have been saying that last bit about the ATF, for decades. That’s why I picked Matt’s as the example. Lauren’s speech was more elegant, and I was actually more impressed with hers. She dealt with the same agency, but using a different theme. Hers was geared more for the rights of House members carrying firearms, but the point is that these are the kinds of representatives who have not been corrupted, and have a sense of representing their constituents. Something we don’t ordinarily see. There are several others. I just picked the most recent fine examples.
Contrast them with that rant that AOC had, on the House Floor, bitching and moaning about unfair Republicans tampering with assignments on House committees, and you can begin to see how far the disconnect is between one party and the other. One is making the case for something of value, and the other is just playing like damp dishrags looking to re-gain power to rule over you and I. This is an example of what we can expect to see replaced when the Democrats finally figure out how to really multitask to get rid of Republicans, using election fraud as a way to take over our country. If you think they can’t because of a couple laws being replaced or repealed, or even being ruled as unconstitutional, you haven’t been paying attention, after the results of the 2020 and the 2022 elections made it abundantly clear to me.
It’s already bad enough that we have to entrust our future to people who can so easily be disconnected from their constituencies, by the old “Potomac Two Step”, and all the graft that comes with it, but if we don’t guard our institutions better than the last two elections, we’re just done. You can’t take something back that you gave away, because you were too lazy to protect it in the first place, can you? Like one of my favorite Tennessean actors and lawyers, Fred Thompson, said about an action on the sea, while playing a Navy Admiral, in Red October, “This business will get out of control, fast…”
At least, that story had a happy ending, compared to the last two years of battle waged by Democrats against our sovereignty. If we really care about how our country goes forward, we have to deal with that Clear and Present Danger(yeh, I like Clancy’s books) of watching our government get robbed, by protecting our most basic federal institution, called Congress. We’ve been winning a lot of court cases concerning gun control abuse, by those who wish to disarm us, but for us to move the ball in the right direction, we need to rid the halls of Congress of a lot of communists and two bit actors, which is what a Democrat politician is.
We have to stand up and say “No!” We have to push back, hard, against those who wish to terrorize our kids with transgender crap, abortion crap, and lies about how great the socialist worldview is. That means that we have to keep pushing for election laws, at the state level, in all the states we can, that do not allow for thieves to enter into and take what is not theirs, because it is ours, period.
If I begin to sound a bit corny, that’s because someone just gave up caring about what we used to have, and looks down on basic concepts, and instead, began to be the self-centered idiot who will sell his souls for the next day’s pay. There are very basic things that we already lost, because of thieves, and we need to take the stand and run them out of the halls of government. If that means a few unpleasantries, so be it. Our lives depend on it. When you lose the Boeberts, the Gaetz’s and the other few, you leave it all up to the thieves, and all you have left is to fool yourself into believing it will somehow right itself.
Our laws originated in God’s Law, those Ten Commandments. The thieves just laugh at them. If we don’t defend God’s laws, we don’t have much of a reason for further existence as a country, do we? It’s well past time we took the stand to protect what God gave us. The very least one can do is to call their elected representatives, telling them just exactly what it is we expect from them, and thank the ones who already understand and obey our wishes.
I believe all we can do is to honor and protect what God demands of us, because the last book of the New Testament spells out the end. All we might be able to do is to get in God’s grace and perform what He expects of us, to protect what is right, and repent our sins. Protect our children, Protect our borders. Protect ourselves from the evil that is undermining us. We already know how the end comes. The best we can do is to obey God’s words and act to keep evil at bay.
The one thing that keeps me questioning myself, which makes me worry about my standing in the eyes of God, is do I pray for the End to come, or do I do what God tells me to do, and fight like there is no other way, to honor Him? This is what a world view does to you when you simultaneously seek a Heavenly journey. Jesus told us that He would return, and to judge, but He did not tell us when.
Matt Gaetz hasn’t given up. Lauren Boebert hasn’t, also. What will you do?
I’m not giving up on anything, except to repent for all my sins. Do what is right and just! Always strive for what is righteous. Self righteousness is drinking out of the wrong cup.
