Globalist Folly Back in Fashion in the Swamp Part 24

Cashing in Like the Good Fellas While Pretending to be the Good Guys-is the GAO or Anybody in the US Government Monitoring Ukraine Aid?

Who is Responsible for the Carnage, Violence, Death and Destruction in Ukraine that Started with a Spark of Meddling in Fiscal Year 2014 by the “Scandal-Free” Obama Administration? Well-Yes-Putin, but What Riled Him Up So Much in the First Place???

I left this series alone for nearly eight months as the disasters started to pile up and play out in earnest-it struck me somewhat as “piling on” to point out that the apocalyptic prognostications (to turn a phrase) about how bad the potential disasters could be under a Biden administration that has-does-and-will continue to mess up everything they touch: just a soup sandwich. However, these predictions of evidence of doomage and gloom–were optimistic and somewhat pedestrian in regard to actual-as the facts and disaster far exceeds expectations in the most cringe-worthy and horrific sense of the words: and we are not done by half….

Now what motivated me to dust off the “Globalist Folly” series at this point in the movie-which is a good question-but also evidence of the “shock and awe” sense of dread that comes with the realization that I’ve underestimated the malfeasance and corrupt, feckless-and dangerous-actions that Biden and the incompetents he’s hand selected to populate his administration could perpetrate on not only the US, but the world, by a lot: and I mean the get us into-by bumbling narratives-soft talking about minor incursions and rationalizations about historic regional relationships, escalate things to a shooting war, eschewing the introduction of ground US combat capability-then turning on a dime to champion it, costing us in excess of 100B dollars-and counting-at a time when our relentless spending risks further tanking a tanking economy, far exceeding production (GDP,) while raising the very real specter of nuclear war, risking counter-attacks on our strategic assets in a tit-for-tat with a known ruthless dictator for life-actually giving him the cover and ammunition he needs to do so: America, you made me do it! Never mind the domestic disasters.

Forget about domestic disasters for now-although with debt exceeding GDP by over ~130%, prices for everything at unprecedented levels, inflation soaring to out of control heights-Social Security (SS) and Medicare again being talked about going insolvent in a decade (particularly in light of an 8.7% SS Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) raise for 2023 alone:8.7%.) You can talk all you want about the economy, but you can’t handle the truth if entitlements are growing by almost 9% a year.

The Military Retiree COLA/pay raise was also 8.7%, while the Civil Service retirement (Federal Employee Retirement System) was 7.7%, the largest increase in 40 years, while the legacy Civil Service Retirement System was also 8.7%…

Any wonder that Florida Senator Rick Scott’s (the white one-apparently easy to confuse Tim and Rick Scott-course the other one is from South Carolina, c’mon man…) proposal to revisit and re-decision programs every five years or so touched a third rail by including entitlement programs like SS, Medicare/Caid and it would also include pensions-military, federal, etc.? That SS is a serious problem is swamp knowledge that existed long before now climate opportunist Al Gore proposed a lockbox on it in the dust-up to the 2000 election because he and his ilk-fellow politicians in the DC swamp-were tapping these programs and undermining any benefit derived from the possibility for interest/earnings year-after-year after-year. Many thought it was just a classic deep swamp political ploy for Gore to propose a lockbox after serving some 18 years in the senate, the proof being that after the election the swamp went back to normal status, and nobody took up the issue that was a huge democrat talking point that year.

We can argue about how the economy is or is not doing, inflation effects, food, baby formula shortages, gas prices, all of the issues the academics like to kick around as symptoms of other problems. But it is hard to argue with the absolute ramifications and the proof of how things are going as evidenced by the annual adjustments to these entitlements and >8% increase in Military pensions, Civil Service retirements and SS: it is a truth that can’t be handled.

Should it continue-it could double the entitlement burden on our economy in a little over two presidential terms (and yes, I always have an allergic reaction to the term “entitlements,” having stood on my head for nearly four decades to earn my military and civil service retirements, while contributing a significant amount into SS for nearly fifty years-that I am now getting back like some Ponzi scheme. And we can’t forget about the other fund I/we paid into over the years-Medicare-a not inconsiderable amount that when added to other contributions like SS, equals more than I ever believed I would make in my lifetime when I was in the Army making $360 a month. Paying monthly for Medicare is infuriating in consideration of “medical benefits for life” with a military retirement. Just as infuriating as paying a monthly fee for benefits and also for dental: did the government-politicians-lie to me? Waaaahhh.) However, no bitterness here, just a ringside seat to the clown show.

I underestimated the Biden potential folly by a lot-and here I thought I was being dogmatically “shrill” about the downside potential. We don’t need another reminder about Robert Gates-one of the most respected US government civilian leaders in the last forty years-by both tribes-writing in his book-and standing by-his assessment and observation that “Joe Biden has been wrong about every foreign policy decision over the last forty years.” He didn’t say some-nor several-nor many-he said “every.” And he not only stands by that judgement today, but he confessed-when asked-that “he got sick to his stomach over Afghanistan-physically ill.” Oh, and he stands by his commentary on “lunch-bucket Joe” and points to the record.

If Afghanistan made him sick, then he likely had a negative reaction as well to our military leaders (using the loosest standard imaginable) advising the President of the United States (POTUS) and Cabinet that fighting in Ukraine will likely be “over within 72 hours:” and no need for me to pile on observing that was about a year and ~$100B or so American taxpayer dollars ago.

Why don’t good people like Gates throw their hat in the arena and vie for the highest office in the land? It’s a question I thought about early-on when we had somewhat of the mail-in candidates who might have been good people and solid citizens but had zero chance of getting elected (folks like Senator Robert Dole and former Vice-President Mondale come to mind.) A topic that might have been worthwhile to pursue some time ago, but the swamp reaction to candidate and then President Donald Trump likely put that question to bed for all-time.

I’m dusting off the next version in this series because we reached-much quicker than I thought would happen given the disposition of our government-what I believe to be the fruition of what I observed in Globalist 22: While difficult to believe, it has only gotten worse and it will continue to degrade as this untalented, incapable team surpasses incompetence, approaches insanity (doing the same zany things, expecting different results) and seems hell-bent to press on to impeachable offenses.

An AFNN Elizabeth Vaughn article covers the recent release by respected and award-winning journalist Seymour Hersch that chronicles the back story to the Nord Stream 2 explosions that took out the planned expansion of the Russian Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) pipelines to Germany, an effort that would eliminate the need to path supplies through Ukraine.

If Hersch sounds familiar think the 1969 Vietnam My Lai massacre, the 1970s Watergate scandal reporting, the secret bombing of Cambodia and the Central Intelligence Agency domestic spying on US citizens. In 2004 he reported on the US military Abu Ghraib scandal involving the torture and mistreatment of Iraqi prisoners. In 2013 he disputed the emerging narrative that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government was responsible for chemical attacks at Ghouta that he attributed to Syrian rebel forces, and in 2015 he reported that the US and Pakistan lied about the killing of Osama Bin Laden.

Hersch is a well-known, renowned, award-winning journalist who has been ahead of a number of these stories that reflect badly on America’s institutions. Many of them have been characterized by a reticence on the part of the LSMBTG to participate in and develop the storylines to amplify the details. This story is no exception in America in 2023 for a media coming off colluding with government agencies to carry water for them, also with big tech and globalist power brokers to foster and cheerlead against all things Bad Orange Man, COVID propaganda narratives, globalist talking points, LGBTQ agenda, stoking racism fears and woke narratives across the board and perpetuation of suppression campaigns against things like the Hunter Biden laptop.

Hersch’s article reads like a Jason Bourne story-a Ludlum-or Tom Clancy novel-and would make a great movie whether true or not. The level of detail is surprising, shocking, disturbing-and yet rings true to those cold-war era warriors who have suffered the loss of our greatest and most easily embraced foe over the past three decades (I’m tempted to opine, “they’re back.”)

To avoid burying the lede (again,) this operation reprises the actors cast in my other series about what Obama knew and how he came to undermine Putin in Ukraine through a choreographed “color revolution” where he authorized and released the “hounds,” the propaganda might of the US State Department to undermine Putin’s guy Victor Yanukovych in Ukraine starting in late 2013, leading to him being chased out of office in 2014 in favor of a US leaning “guy”-Petro Poroshenko-who would be more malleable to western “juice” or influence.

The reporting of Paul Sperry tells this tale in great detail and properly credits the ObamaLinsky “band members.” Recall those actors included administration stars like Susan Rice, Antony Blinken, Avril Haines, Victoria Nuland, John Podesta, Jake Sullivan and others (that I called out in my long series Obama Knew.)

The chronology of the actions from Hersch’s article includes: President Biden and his foreign policy team—National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, Secretary of State Tony Blinken, and Victoria Nuland, the Undersecretary of State for Policy—had been vocal and consistent in their hostility to the two pipelines, which ran side by side for 750 miles under the Baltic Sea from two different ports in northeastern Russia near the Estonian border, passing close to the Danish island of Bornholm before ending in northern Germany.

Hersh’s article has a surprising amount of detail considering the continued White House denials and the usual suspect attempts to distract and debunk. But the germane and most problematic portion of the piece is the following:

Biden’s decision to sabotage the pipelines came after more than nine months of highly secret back and forth debate inside Washington’s national security community about how to best achieve that goal. For much of that time, the issue was not whether to do the mission, but how to get it done with no overt clue as to who was responsible.

There was a vital bureaucratic reason for relying on the graduates of the center’s hardcore diving school in Panama City. The divers were Navy only, and not members of America’s Special Operations Command, whose covert operations must be reported to Congress and briefed in advance to the Senate and House leadership—the so-called Gang of Eight. The Biden Administration was doing everything possible to avoid leaks as the planning took place late in 2021 and into the first months of 2022.

Yowza-emphasis added above! I’ve observed for a long time now that one of the biggest problems with the swamp-and politics-are the lawyers! The constitution-as well as many of our laws-base upon the “spirit and intent” of laws: the founders fervently and seriously believed it would take religious, informed citizenry with a base foundation of commonality and goodness from a morals, ethics, and standards viewpoint, who would embrace the now increasingly dinosaur and “archaic” notion of “doing the right thing” in the face of-and temptation-of options.

The winds of impeachment start as a whisper and soon become a bellows-If it’s true…And there are a few more interesting stories like this that are also being ignored that seem to explain and clear up a lot of mysteries-if true.
