Unveiling the Organic Farming Paradox: Balancing Environmental Ideals and Human Survival, by: Barb Dwyer

In 1968, biologist Paul Ehrlich’s metaphorical words resonated with a profound truth: “To cut a cancer out, you have to cut away some of the normal tissue as well.” Ehrlich, known for his warnings about overpopulation, suggested that addressing a problem sometimes requires sacrifice, even if it means losing some of the “normal” elements.

Fast forward to the present, where the global population burgeons, and our planet grapples with the consequences of technological advancements in agriculture. Amid calls for sustainable development, initiatives like UN Agenda 2030 advocate for organic farming as a solution to environmental challenges. However, beneath this seemingly noble endeavor lies a potential crisis. By banning fertilizers and herbicides like Roundup and exclusively embracing organic methods, the world risks disrupting global food production.

The reduction in agriculture observed in countries enforcing such practices provides a chilling preview of the consequences of these initiatives. The utopian vision of a new world order built on organic farming and sustainable development might inadvertently pave the way for a dystopian nightmare.

The reality is that feeding a growing global population requires pragmatic solutions that balance environmental concerns with human survival. The risks associated with widespread adoption of organic farming practices could lead us down a path of mass starvation, creating a future where depopulation becomes not a choice but a tragic inevitability.

It’s imperative to critically assess the consequences of these well-intentioned yet potentially disastrous initiatives before we embark on a perilous experiment with our planet’s most precious resource – human life.
