Intelligence, as measured by cognitive abilities and aptitudes, has long been studied and understood to follow a normal distribution, commonly depicted as a bell curve. This statistical model suggests that the majority of individuals cluster around the average intelligence level, with fewer people falling at the extremes of low or high intelligence. This understanding is grounded in hard scientific evidence and provides a framework for studying and analyzing human cognitive abilities objectively.
However, in recent years, discussions about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in education have led to misconceptions about intelligence and education. Some proponents of DEI argue for a uniform distribution of educational outcomes, suggesting that all individuals should have equal academic achievements regardless of their cognitive abilities. This notion creates a false truth that with enough education, humans can overcome inherent differences in intelligence, disregarding the established scientific understanding of intelligence as following a normal distribution.
The reality is that while education plays a crucial role in nurturing and developing cognitive abilities, it cannot alter the fundamental God given distribution of intelligence in the population. Every individual has unique strengths, weaknesses, and potential, shaped by a combination of genetic, environmental, and experiential factors. Education can provide opportunities for growth, learning, and skill development, but it cannot eliminate the inherent variability in human intelligence.
By conflating intelligence with educational outcomes, DEI initiatives have oversimplified complex issues and are perpetuating false narratives. It is essential to recognize and respect the diversity of human capabilities, acknowledging that intelligence, along with many other human differences are influenced by various factors beyond educational alone.
In conclusion, while hard science supports the understanding of intelligence as following a normal distribution, DEI efforts routinely focus on fighting uncomfortable hard scientific truths with emotions. Falsely claiming all humans can be included in the intelligent category is just a very simple example. Inclusivity is a dream, not a reality. Not every person is intelligent like they desire to be. Humans cannot change science with emotions as hard as they persist. Humans can claim to be a woman if born with XY chromosomes, but the truth is you’re still a man. Stop fighting the truth. The truth will always win
