As New Orleans reels from the devastating terrorist attack that claimed innocent lives, one thing is abundantly clear: terrorists have been hard at work while the FBI has been on a Trump-finding expedition. Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the man responsible for the carnage on Bourbon Street, left behind a trail of red flags, including an ISIS flag in his truck. But hey, why focus on radicalized individuals plotting violence when there are Trump associates to interrogate and laptops to ignore?
While the FBI, CIA, and DOJ are laser-focused on prosecuting political opponents, jihadist networks have been quietly doing their homework. It turns out, they’ve gotten pretty good at it, too. Jabbar’s military background and connection to ISIS ideology highlight glaring blind spots in the administration’s national security focus. But don’t worry, America: the FBI will find out if Trump misplaced a classified sticky note before they figure out why extremists are slipping through the cracks.
The Biden administration, in its infinite wisdom, seems to believe that “counterterrorism” is a relic of the Bush era. Instead of addressing real threats, they’re content with virtue-signaling and dismantling critical programs under the guise of “equity” and “domestic terror.” Meanwhile, actual terrorists are plotting their next moves, exploiting a distracted leadership that seems more interested in optics than outcomes.
And let’s not forget the irony: the same administration that botched the Afghanistan withdrawal and armed the Taliban now struggles to connect the dots on homegrown terror threats. What’s next? An apology tour for inconveniencing radicalized attackers? The absence of meaningful leadership in addressing Islamist terror is as blatant as the rising toll of victims. Expect more attacks, because the message from Washington to terror networks has been loud and clear: “We’re too busy prosecuting political rivals to stop you.”
This is no longer just incompetence; it’s a national security disaster in the making. Americans deserve better than leaders asleep at the wheel while our enemies strategize in plain sight. Maybe after the next Trump indictment, someone will remember that keeping Americans safe was supposed to be the government’s job. Until then, buckle up.
