Today in Cloft’s Corner, Dave has a look at the woke culture now being forced upon our troops by leftist leaders.
It’s time to buckle up those socially-conscious seatbelts because we’re about to dive into the revamped, woke version of the U.S. Military Code of Conduct. Get ready for a wild ride as we transform the traditional rules into a modern, social justice-infused masterpiece.
1. “I am an American, flexing my muscles in the forces which guard my country and the evolving kaleidoscope of our way of life.”
Because nothing screams “fight for justice” more than flexing those muscles in support of a kaleidoscope, embracing all shades of existence, including the elusive iridescent ones.
2. “I will never surrender my will to the societal constructs of oppression, except for brunch on weekends because avocado toast is non-negotiable.”
After all, what’s the point of fighting for justice if you can’t enjoy a leisurely brunch while dismantling oppressive systems?
3. “If I am captured, I will continue to resist through a series of intricate interpretive dances and thought-provoking slam poetry.”
Captured? No problem! Just break into some interpretive dance moves or belt out a slam poem on the tyranny of captivity. Your captors won’t know what hit them.
4. “If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners by sharing a curated selection of inclusive bedtime stories.”
Because solidarity is vital, and what better way to show it than by reading your fellow prisoners some bedtime stories that highlight diverse characters and experiences?
5. “When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am bound to provide only my preferred pronouns, astrological sign, and a meticulously crafted haiku about the impermanence of power.”
Forget name, rank, and serial number. We’re in the age of self-expression, so share your preferred pronouns, flaunt your astrological insights, and throw in a haiku that’ll make your captors question their life choices.
6. “I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for democratic socialism and dedicated to the principles that made my country a playground for just and inclusive ideals.”
Because who doesn’t want to fight for justice while reminiscing about those childhood swing-set dreams?
And there you have it, the snarky, satirical, and totally made-up woke version of the U.S. Military Code of Conduct. Until next time, keep fighting for justice, one snarky remark at a time!
The real ones for comparison;
1. “I am an American, fighting in the forces which guard my country and our way of life.”
2. “I will never surrender of my own free will.”
3. “If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available.”
4. “If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners.”
5. “When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am bound to give only name, rank, service number, and date of birth.”
6. “I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free.
