Is Ohio Dem House Candidate Leonard Lying to Keep His DSA Under a Bushel?

In King James’ version of the Bible – in Matthew 5:15-16 – Jesus says:

“Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.”

Jesus was encouraging us to not hide from the world our skills and good qualities. But to instead allow them to shine in the open – and illuminate the world for everyone.

It’s not too big of a stretch to apply Jesus’ parable to what’s currently going on with the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) – and Ohio’s 15th Congressional district.

Yesterday – on Sunday, because the Internet never rests? I received in my inbox an op-ed from Larry Kudlow.

For those of you who don’t know…:

“Lawrence Alan Kudlow is an American conservative broadcast news analyst, economist, columnist, journalist, political commentator, and radio personality. He is a financial news commentator for Fox Business and served as the director of the National Economic Council during the Trump administration from 2018 to 2021.”

I’ve met Larry. He is a very nice guy.

That said: Kudlow is a standard-issue Washington, DC center-right economy guy. He is exactly the type of Republican economist – that is killing the Republican Party.

Kudlow’s economic messaging – is the Republicans’ economic messaging. And it is more tone deaf than a year’s worth of nationwide karaoke contests.

The US’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) self-feeding frenzy is still…frenzy-ing.

Except everything about it seems fake.

The US’s Large Language Model (LLM) version of AI seems to be (at least) years away from the promises being made to feed the frenzy.

The world gets about 20% of its oil via the Strait of Hormuz. The Strait has been closed or nearly closed since the United States launched its war with Iran.

That launch date was February 28th. Today is July 13th. We’re approaching five months of little to no oil getting through the Strait.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has been seated a long time. Since 1991 – thirty-five years and counting. That entire time? He has been almost inarguably its most stringently Constitutional and conservative member.
