Don Surber escorts us through another week of the media’s treatment what it considers news. We need this reporting on the media or we’d never know what was actually going on.

In King James’ version of the Bible – in Matthew 5:15-16 – Jesus says:
“Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.”
Jesus was encouraging us to not hide from the world our skills and good qualities. But to instead allow them to shine in the open – and illuminate the world for everyone.
It’s not too big of a stretch to apply Jesus’ parable to what’s currently going on with the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) – and Ohio’s 15th Congressional district.
In this third decade of the 21st century, the takeover of the Democrat party by the Democratic Socialists of America is giving us a clear choice. We will cast our ballot knowing that we are choosing either the messiness of individual liberty, or the servitude of collectivism.
AOC, when accused of being a socialist, had this to say: “Can I tell you a secret? Most people don’t really know what capitalism is; most people don’t even know what socialism is. But most people are not capitalist because they don’t have capitalist money. They’re not billionaires.”

For those of you who don’t know…:
“Lawrence Alan Kudlow is an American conservative broadcast news analyst, economist, columnist, journalist, political commentator, and radio personality. He is a financial news commentator for Fox Business and served as the director of the National Economic Council during the Trump administration from 2018 to 2021.”
I’ve met Larry. He is a very nice guy.
That said: Kudlow is a standard-issue Washington, DC center-right economy guy. He is exactly the type of Republican economist – that is killing the Republican Party.
Kudlow’s economic messaging – is the Republicans’ economic messaging. And it is more tone deaf than a year’s worth of nationwide karaoke contests.

American pundits are predicting a new civil war between the red states and the blue states. That’s cute but the nation is already under a two-headed attack by Marxists and Muslims. We should worry about that because if they win, the battle royale will be between Red China and Iran over who gets to rule the scraps that are left of a once mighty American empire that fed the world.
Democrats have a poison called DSA—Democrat Socialists of America—a communist organization that made Mamdani mayor of New York, New York. If communism can make it there, it will make it anywhere, right?
But Democrat officials know voters are rejecting it—for now.
Most of the Communists who have emerged in recent months have never held a real job. They have not experienced the real world where adults make their own way, support themselves and compete with other applicants for real jobs. They are demanding, sniveling teenagers.
The document the DSA leaders passed makes clear that achieving their vision of a Communist Utopia would require “building a new society from the ground up,” accompanied by sweeping structural changes. This can only be accomplished by brute force and executions.
