Leftists continuously attack 17-21 year-old males for displaying the very attributes needed to win our nation’s wars. Then we wonder why we can’t seem to recruit enough of them to fill the ranks.

My personal perspective on West Point, obviously, is mine alone. It’s aged over 50 years since graduation and informed by 65 years of reading history as well as over 2 decades working as an Army “Futurist.” I believe West Point should focus on creating the cadre of the “military priesthood” of the U.S. Army. I know such a shift would get mixed results, but 50 years from now Americans would know the Long Gray Line is about winning America’s wars above all else.

The United States Military Academy has long prided itself on upholding the highest standards of ethical and moral behavior. Seeing a headline like that rocked the Academy and cast a shadow on its image. …
I understand the conflict is ongoing and does not have a known end date or end state conditions. But the sooner the USG, NATO, and the EU think through the dynamics of assessment, the quicker they can respond and conduct it. If they stand up coordinated assessment teams now, they can start assessing pre-conflict items, and conflict response now and gathering data.
Today, it’s all about you, the veteran, you magnificent lab rat. Unethical experiments were conducted and are being conducted both by the military on civilians, and by the military or other agencies on military personnel. Why were and are they unethical? Because the test subjects—us—were not and are not fully informed of what is being done to them, and they did not knowingly consent to be used as a guinea pigs.
