Rep. Rich McCormick, R-Ga., discusses the DHS funding stalemate and Democrats being unable to answer what the partial government shutdown accomplished on ‘The Evening Edit.’
I trust my government the way I trust a chainsaw: useful, powerful, and capable of doing exactly what it’s designed to do—right up until someone slips, panics, or decides to use it for something it was never meant to cut. I support enforcing the law. I support borders. I support order. What I don’t support is pretending that massive, flexible, taxpayer-funded detention infrastructure will remain forever confined to the narrow purpose printed on today’s briefing slides. That’s not patriotism. That’s optimism with a short memory.
CBS news just released a poll, in which 61 percent of respondents say ICE is being “too tough” with its enforcement tactics. Clearly there is a bi-partisan desire for a kinder and gentler approach to clearing illegal aliens out of our country. Duh!
Why do anti-ICE groups call murderers, pedophiles and rapists their “neighbors”? Many ”blue” mayors have told their police departments not to cooperate with ICE.
Not all protesters support illegals. ICE won’t melt but maybe anti-ICE is. Organized Democrat and communist opposition to the removal of illegal aliens in Minnesota and elsewhere has been melting of late. Fox reported the protesters, insurgents and rioters are fighting among themselves as the winter drags on and their tactics turn cost public sentiment. …
According to a recent CBS News survey, a bipartisan majority of Americans would prefer that ICE use less harsh tactics in the enforcement of federal immigration laws. Being ever responsive to the wishes of Americans – so long as Americans wish the Democrats to remain in power – Senator Chuck “The Grillmaster” Schumer is thinking about a repeat of “shutdown theater.”
Our friend Jane went into the voting booth and chose politicians who promote civil disorder, without considering what the reality would look like. I’m sure having her nose rubbed in a putrid mess of her own making, only adds to her rage.
The skewed hand-wringing narrative by the leftist legacy media studiously avoids the most basic civic premise of a constitutional republic: federal law is not optional, and federal law enforcement is not a performance art for leftist activists to interrupt.
We see on TV or in news photos ongoing protests by Democrats. These protests feature women who have shaved their heads as a form of protest, men dressed in women’s clothing, and protesters who swear at or spit on ICE and border agents.
Tim Walz and the rest of the Democrats finally got what they wanted—someone killed by ICE. The party line is the woman was protesting. The law says she was interfering with an official act.
I’ve wondered for years how our next civil war would start. In my wildest dreams, I did not expect the guy who’s highest priority is universal access to feminine hygiene products, to start it.
Democrats on the House Oversight Committee will launch a “master ICE tracker.” The online database would allow the public to submit and review reports of ICE activity across the Los Angeles area. This tool will help Antifa & other violent thugs to target ICE agents for assassination.
The reason Federal agents cover their faces during raids and arrests is don’t want to be “outed” and doxed by gang members and criminal aliens who, seeking retribution, might wish to attack them and their families.
The press continues to churn out sob sister stories about Trump’s deportations of people who had deportation orders before he was president. The stories are heavy on emotions, but light on the facts.
BALDWIN, MI — Pack your bags and your thermals, because nothing says “Welcome to America” like being greeted by subzero windchill, a shuttered prison, and a company with “GEO” in its name that somehow still has a pulse.
If you’ve been paying attention to the latest media hysteria, you’d think that deporting illegal immigrants is some kind of economic doomsday button—one that, if pressed, will send America spiraling into bankruptcy.
When is a sanctuary city not a sanctuary? When it’s declared by a poser more interested in appearing charitable than actually being charitable.
