Citizen Writers Fighting Censorship by Helping Americans Understand Issues Affecting the Republic.
Congratulations, President Biden. You have broken so many records they are hard to count. As someone I am intentionally not citing recently shared on Facsistbook, Biden has so far presided over historically high inflation, record oil and gas prices, a disastrous pullout from Afghanistan costing 13 American lives and 169 allies lives, a deepening migrant …
The Mad Scientists in the federal government created an unelected and largely unaccountable 4th branch of government. Path dependency keeps us locked into this approach and will require a significant punctured equilibrium to change.
President Biden and his team have acknowledged in recent weeks that there is not much he can do to address soaring gas prices and inflation, and the actions he has taken so far, such as a record-breaking release of oil from the country’s strategic reserves, have not worked. This past Tuesday he continued his denigration …
How are the people who claim to care about the wellbeing of black people perfectly fine with them not having the option to leave a failing government-run school system?
On March 9, 2017, then-FBI Director James Comey met with congressional leaders, the “Gang of 8,” to brief them on the status of their counterintelligence investigation of former President Donald Trump. He met first with Senate leaders and then with House leaders. Comey was armed with a seven-page memo containing talking points that had been …
Remember in 2020 when the idea of digital Covid passports was floated in the U.S.? It would ensure that responsible Americans who did the right thing weren’t exposed to the “unvaccinated.” Even many of us who were vaccinated thought it was a bad idea. A situation currently unfolding in China demonstrates precisely why no sane person …

We don’t have a gun problem. We have a Democrat overpopulation and governance problem.
Ahead of Flag Day, Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser ordered flags with 51 stars to be raised in the district because “DC’s disenfranchisement is a stain on American democracy – a 220-year-old wrong that demands to be righted.” In a statement posted to her government website on Monday, the mayor said, “Today, ahead of Flag Day, …
Last September, British comedian turned YouTube host Russell Brand stunned the liberal blogosphere with his podcast titled “Trump was RIGHT About Clinton & Russia Collusion!!” “Russell Brand, an actor typically known for his more liberal political opinions, is starting to lean heavily into right-wing conspiracies on his YouTube channel, leaving fans flummoxed and upset,” bellowed a …
John R. Surdu Last week I posted an article, called “What is Hate Speech?” In that article, I asserted that social media tech tyrants, media talking heads, members of every perpetual victim class, Leftist, and woke politicians define “hate speech” as “anything I don’t like.” The Left uses many weapons to divide us, create …
CNN’s Dana Bash asks Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez if she will back President Joe Biden if he decides to run for reelection in 2024. “You know, if the President chooses to run again in 2024,” the congresswoman from New York says before abruptly stopping and changing course. She laughs and tells Bash, “I mean …
Ordinary Americans aren’t the only ones feeling the squeeze from the record high prices of gasoline. With over three months to go before the end of their fiscal year, the Isabella County Sheriff’s Office in central Michigan has already exhausted their entire fuel budget. According to WDIV-TV, in a now-deleted June 7 Facebook post, Sheriff Michael Main wrote: …
President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris understand that the rising prices of gasoline and food brought on by pandemic related supply disruptions, Putin’s war in Ukraine, and climate change have led to serious food shortages for people all over the world. And on Thursday, the administration pledged to provide $331 to fight food insecurity …
During a Wednesday House Oversight and Reform Committee hearing on gun violence, Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told colleagues the escalation in the frequency of school shootings, which she established is unique to the U.S., is “internationally embarrassing and delegitimizing.” The congresswoman from New York asked National Education Association President Becky Pringle, “Between 2009 and 2018, how …
In a six-minute Wednesday night rant on Fox News’ “Hannity,” Mark Levin, the fiery host of the network’s show “Life, Liberty and Levin,” rightly took aim at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over her very substantial, but completely unexplored, role in the Jan. 6 Capitol incursion. “Nancy, what did you do on Jan. 6? Can we …
Virtue, Wherefore Art Thou? The rise of Christianity buried pagan philosophy for centuries as Christianity took control of all aspects of western life. But in 1649, the Treaty of Westphalia broke Christianity’s stranglehold on western life. The treaty ended the brutally destructive Thirty Years’ War, which pit Protestants against Catholics and tore Germany and other …
