Today is a glorious day. It is a joyful day for us. And yet, I have been staring at my computer screen for hour after hour, thinking about what I want to write, or if I want to write.
A month ago seven old men who spent 4 years together as company mates at West Point compared memories on why each went there, stayed, and what the place meant – personally. Each testimony was different. Here’s what I wrote 4 years ago and stands the same now. It’s purely a personal epistle.
But do not just look for the threats. Look for the humanity.
God, has a plan for dealing with loss, if we will only listen.
What a long day. Morning working outside, doing nothing important but harvesting oranges, grapefruit, and lemons from the lovely trees in my backyard. So, a day away from real life or a day in real life?
True humility is when you lower yourself to be beneath those in need.
