What’s Your Golden Calf?
The children of Israel angered God when they created and worshipped a golden calf. Are we worshipping our own golden calves?

Why I Stepped Off the Side of the Earth in 1968 (Part 2)
A month ago seven old men who spent 4 years together as company mates at West Point compared memories on why each went there, stayed, and what the place meant – personally. Each testimony was different. Here’s what I wrote 4 years ago and stands the same now. It’s purely a personal epistle.
Justice Clarence Thomas – A Judicial Gem
Justice Clarence Thomas is in the news again and for all the right reasons. He’s defending our Constitutionally protected rights and angering the right people, libs.
Virtue, Wherefore Art Thou?
Virtue, Wherefore Art Thou? The rise of Christianity buried pagan philosophy for centuries as Christianity took control of all aspects of western life. But in 1649, the Treaty of Westphalia broke Christianity’s stranglehold on western life. The treaty ended the brutally destructive Thirty Years’ War, which pit Protestants against Catholics and tore Germany and other …
Racism: 2 of 4, Is All Racism Equal?
Have you noticed that many people are not affected by racism? One would think that if racism was indeed rampant, then anyone with that color of skin would be suffering from racism. Please note, there is only one race, with many colors. And how unfair is it to judge someone based on something they …
Whoopi Goldberg and the SF Examiner Editorial Board Lose Their Crap As Archbishop Cordileone Brings Down the Hammer on Nancy Pelosi
Friday, San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone formally ordered House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to not present herself for Communion until “such time as you publicly repudiate your advocacy for the legitimacy of abortion and confess and receive absolution of this grave sin in the sacrament of Penance.” By way of an explainer, this action has been …
Our Freedom of Religion Vindicated!
We were critical, from the very beginning, of the authoritarian dictates of so many of our nation’s governors when the COVID-19 scare first erupted. On March 19, 2020 Governor Andy Beshear (D-KY) unconstitutionally ordered all churches closed in the Bluegrass State. That order covered the Easter holiday, the most important day in the Christian calendar. When …
How to Be a Christian
If you’re short on time, but need a quick overview of Christianity, look no further than the Book of James.
Happy Mother’s Day! How Was Your Abortion?
Abortion and Mother’s Day don’t go well in a single sentence. It’s insulting, and revolting, to even see the word ‘abortion’ on Mother’s Day. Yet, many American women who are mothers and some who will never be, are feeling a lot of emotion about abortion. This Mother’s Day 2022 has something to celebrate about the legality and restrictions on abortion – it’s all probably going back to the states.
A Mother’s Day Thanks to a Woman I Have Never Met
Adopted children experience a broad range of different emotions. This Mother’s Day I feel gratitude for a woman I have never met.
Roe vs Wade
Editor’s Note: It is the position of AFNN, that abortion can only be justified in the most extreme circumstances. Having said that, articles we may not totally agree with can serve the purpose of honing our argument in support of the unborn.

Civil War II
Democrats are on the warpath again. Surprise. Surprise. When aren’t they? This time over Roe v. Wade.
Book Promo: Abortion Compassion
Editor’s Note: We accept no recompense whatsoever for reviewing and/or promoting any book, video or other product. Information leaked from the Supreme Court indicates that it is likely the opinion in Roe v. Wade will be reversed. Here is one of the articles on the subject. If Roe v. Wade is reversed it will not …
An Overturn of Roe v. Wade Now, Would Be Bittersweet
It would be the right thing to do, but could further expose the weakness of our Union.
Progressive Activism In My World
Today, I am going to talk about something near and dear to my heart. Something all of the colonels and military men on this website are not qualified to write on, but I am. What could that possibly be? Hallmark movies. Why am I qualified and they are not? I have probably seen one thousand …
What’s Up With Those Methodists?
Is there a connection between Old Testament prophecies and what’s happening in the United Methodist Church? The short answer is yes.
O Happy Day!
When we were growing up, my brother and I never got Easter baskets. Easter meant going to church and getting new Easter clothes. Our parents (actually, we just blame Mom–sorry, Mom) wanted to instill in us that Easter was not about rabbits or chocolate eggs, but rather about the resurrection of Jesus. We understood …
Woke Disney Should Wake Up
Disney needs to focus on its core mission of providing wholesome entertainment that reflects traditional middle class family values. Disney, get back to work, not back to woke! I have to say that adults can do what they want, but I don’t understand the unhealthy leftist fascination with sex and sexualizing children. The theme parks …
Hope in the Face of A Seemingly Impossible Mission
Nehemiah didn’t tell anyone his plans. He scouted out the job at night, under the cover of darkness, with only a few other men, all Special Forces-like. Then he went to the city leaders and got them on board with his plan. Next the disorganized citizenry was made responsible for rebuilding a portion of the wall or repairing a gate.
