Do you ever wish there were at least some things in the world that didn’t change? At least some things that were not destroyed by the ever-twisting depravity of our modern culture? I do.
Because we’re so zealous for righteousness, truth, and the truth of God’s Word, we can sometimes become somewhat smug, under the banner of the old adage, “Truth sounds like hate to those who hate the truth.”
No “politics.” No “religion.” That’s the new proper etiquette we have now here in America. It’s been going on for decades, but today, it’s at a whole new level. Whether you’re out with a group of colleagues from work or even attending a family meal or gathering, the “polite” rule is, “No politics, no religion” allowed for discussion.
President Trump’s greatest accomplishment is giving Americans something we’ve been denied for years. It’s the critical ingredient which we need to self-govern – the truth.
Is leadership a process? Processes have inputs and actions/activities that produce outputs. In virtue-based leadership, the inputs are Virtue, Competency, and Candor. The outputs are Integrity, Truth, and Trust.
Once upon a time, conservatives prided themselves on being the adults in the room. While the left drowned in a sea of feelings, pronouns, and ever-changing definitions of “truth,” the right stood firm, grounded in logic, facts, and common sense.
The question of whether individuals should always be informed of the truth, particularly in medical, psychological, and experimental settings, is a complex ethical dilemma.
